After scoring a win at Toronto Film Festival big screen adaptation of Stephen King's THE LIFE OF CHUCK with Tom Hiddleston is hitting theatres June 6th and we have the first trailer today. Told in reverse, the film follows Chuck Krantz from his death and ending with his early childhood. Tom Hiddleston is set as lead in new adventure movie TENZING about the inspirational life of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his summit of Mount Everest in 1953 alongside fellow outsider New Zealander Edmund Hillary. With Hiddleston as Sir Hillary, Willem Dafoe will star as the English expedition leader, Colonel John Hunt. 

 

Tibetan born Tenzing Norgay, alongside New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary, both outsiders on a British Expedition, defied insurmountable odds to achieve what was once thought impossible, reaching the summit of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. After six previous attempts, Tenzing risked everything for one final venture. He had to navigate treacherous politics and perilous weather as he embarked on the most significant climb of his life. Through it all, he did so with humor, warmth, and generosity towards his fellow climbers, but also deep reverence and respect for the sacred Mother Goddess of his Mountain, Chomolungma. The actor who will play Tenzing has not been cast yet.

The story is split into three parts, each of them telling a part of Chuck's story in reverse chronological order. The story begins with Chuck's death from a brain tumour at the age of 39, and ends with his childhood in a house which is supposedly haunted. Mike Flanagan is directing. Hiddleston also has the second seasons of Loki and The Night Manager coming up. This hot package (not the one from the picture above, you rascals) will be shopped at Cannes.

She forms an unlikely bond with the hot village vicar Will Ransome ( played by our dearest Tom Hiddleston whom we haven't actually seen in a historical show for almost ten years since his roles in Hollow Crown and Cranford), but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature! The cast of the mini series also includes Frank Dillane, Hayley Squires, Clémence Poésy, Jamael Westman, Dixie Egerickx and Michael Jibson. The series comes from See Saw Films who also did Slow Horses series for Apple TV +. The series will open with two episodes and the remaining four episodes will then stream weekly till mid June. Clio Barnard who directed the series, is also serving as the executive producer of the show that was shot last spring and summer in Essex. When it comes to other historical series at Apple TV, we can also expect from them Steven Spielberg's Masters of the Air World War II series with Callum Turner a tie up to legendary Band of Brothers, but this time about pilots. The film has been in production since 2012, changing directors and actors in the process. Harrison Ford and Zac Efron were the original cast choice under the helm of Rob Reiner but the film was ultimately helmed by Vaughn Stein.
