MR BATES VS THE POST OFFICE
ITV has sent us a trailer for their new mini TV series MR BATES VS THE POST OFFICE based on a true story which should arrive to the small screens January 1st to 4th. The series, which stars Toby Jones, Will Mellor, 
Adam James and Alex Jennings, tells the story of how hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft 
and false accounting due to a defective IT system. Over the four episodes, the show will track how many of the wronged postal workers were prosecuted and
some were imprisoned, while also dramatising the landmark Court of Appeal decision which saw their criminal convictions overturned, and the continuing fight for justice.

Eff those bastards at the post office. Biggest crooks ever. And they want to accuse their employees of theft? Pft. Hope they stuck it to them good.
ReplyDeleteDahlink, is your post office still on strike? I'm so hoping your package arrives to you before the holidays. I mailed it out when we got to Colorado with fingers crossed there wouldn't be any issues this year.
As far as I got it they are still trying to clean up their image, the victims, not the post office.
DeleteYes, our post is working again, our dictator has sent police into their headquarters and they started working again I imagine not because they got bigger salaries but because the mobster frightened them physically. Hope they shipped yours as I left it in the post at the start of November.
Always the victims left with the short end of the stick. It's such BS they are still suffering for it :(
DeleteI'll have to dig out my receipt and see if mine has even crossed the pond to you yet. It said 1-2 weeks arrival estimate, but you know how that goes. I'd be surprised if it got there before Easter anymore.
1-2 weeks? In their dreams maybe LOL It takes longer for local mail to be delivered here.
DeleteSame here. I'm sure it would reach you much faster if customs would stop jacking around and pass the parcels through. But nooooo, they have to touch and open every damn thing. God forbid I send you an avocado. It would be a global catastrophe.
DeleteIt would just go rotten from their dirty hands. We are snowed in today so I imagine the post will be even slower as now they have an excuse to go slow.
DeleteI’ve been in Kentucky and it’s been rainy, but it doesn’t snow there like it does in Indiana. They get a dusting and that’s it. Our list will use snow as an excuse to go slow too. And ours make good money, unlike your poor postal workers, so they just use it as an excuse to be lazy.
