BUILD AN EMPIRE OF HOPE
Arriving to cinemas right on International Women's Day March 8th next year is haunting period set movie drama CABRINI from Alejandro
Monteverde which has John Lithgow, David Morse and Giancarlo Giannini in the cast.
Cabrini arrives March 8th next year |
When Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini (Cristiana Dell Anna) steps
foot in America in 1889, she is greeted by disease, crime, and
impoverished children living in New York's slums. Armed with a fearless
spirit and a compassionate heart, Cabrini sets off on a daring mission
to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for
society's most vulnerable. Despite broken English and poor health,
Cabrini leverages her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope
unlike anything the world had ever seen.
Fearless, compassionate, and think big...Francesca Cabrini sounds like a very inspirational woman.
ReplyDeleteShe does, that is why she will be celebrated on international womens day this March
DeleteProbably an interesting film about a wise, good woman - that's what I like. I hope to watch it someday. Wishing you a good new year. Best regards.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all the best to you as well in the upcoming new year.
DeleteAn empire of hope... Teach me how, Dezz.
ReplyDeleteWe are currently fighting for it here, trying to throw down our dictator, not that your news would show it to you....
Delete"she is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children living in New York's slums."
ReplyDeleteSo.... nothing has changed in 135 years it seems.
I do every day have a feeling we are going backwards and very fast. Not just economy, but people's morals too. Just look at the antisemitism today, like in Hitler's Germany.
DeleteI agree. No regard for life at all. Selfish, disgusting people are taking over and discarding anyone that doesn't fit their mold. Allison has asked me many times why I would be ok with death if I were suddenly failing in health. This world sucks and I truly hope it's the only one we get because I do not want to see how much worse it will get in the future.
DeleteOh, it sure will, good thing we are suffering in this reincarnation for our Nazi sins in the previous life, and then we are done with the whole clusterfeck of life.
DeleteAmen, brother. Let's hope we find peace on the other side!
DeleteWill wait for you there if they don't push us into Mordor again....
DeleteThings were not great back then and you would think with all the technological advancement we've had since then, things would be so much better but the poor still live in hell.
ReplyDeleteAnd I imagine it will be getting even worse as time goes on with these greedy rulers we have.
