 ROLAND EMMERICH'S 'MOONFALL'
A bunch of sf projects have been announced: Roland Emmerich is planning to make sf epic MOONFALL for Universal, following an unlikely band of misfits who must unite to save humanity when the moon falls out of orbit and hurtles towards earth.

AMY ADAM'S 'ARRIVAL'

Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker also star.

'SEVEN- EVES' GETS ADAPTED
And Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are going to adapt Neal Stephenson's SEVENEVES which centres on a catastrophic event that renders Earth a ticking time bomb, and nations band together to devise a plan to ensure the survival of humanity in outer space. Five thousand years later, their progeny, seven races now 3 billion strong, embark on another audacious journey to an alien world utterly transformed by cataclysm and time: Earth.

  1. Moi does love good sci-fi, so this is a great post for me. The trailer for Approaching the Unknown was very good. It makes me want to know what happens. What is real, what is imagined, is he going mad, does he make it?

I also like the idea of Arrival as it has aliens in it. Seriously, I need aliens that were done as well as those in Farscape.

    1. I'm ever so excited for the new STAR TREK TV series that starts next January with 13 episodes, hope they don't eff up the casting!

Would you ever be an astronaut like that, dear?

    2. The Hubby and I are excited about that. We just got done re-watching the series Star Trek Voyager. The casting is always critical. Need a good ensemble cast and exactly the right Captain.

Once upon a time I would have said no to that. But these days the idea of going into space and leaving this wretched place behind, is a bit appealing. We should go together dahlink.

Oooh me is terribly concerned about something bad happening. The Gay Pride parades are going on this weekend in the big cities. They bloody well better have the LGBT community protected or I shall flip my shit. Thankfully my boy is too busy working and can't attend any of them. I've not spoken publicly about what happened in Orlando as I still can't contain my rage over it.

    3. Voyager is my fave of all STAR TREK series :) especially the later seasons, after they ditch that bitch Cass and Nelix :) I always loved the story writing in that series, it has no religious hoopla and too much war like DS9. And it has the Borg, of course :)

I'm not sure if I would not be claustrophobic, dear. Only if they have gravitation on the ship, then I could even live on it forever.

Just saw Patrick Stewart preparing for Pride, probably is going with Ian McKellen! We never have them here because the soccer fans go out and smash a lot of heads.. we are a country who is actually governed by what them idiotic fans say or threaten... 'tis all because they're mafia and our government is in a way supported by them

    4. Mafia controlling the government is not a good thing. Such violent people. Once they get ahold of a place, one must kill them all to be rid of them. Sad but true.

    5. yes, like they never got rid of them down in Mexico :( And ever worse than mafia is when Vatican controls your government :)
