1ST IMAGE FROM GEORGE LUCAS' 'STRANGE MAGIC' ANIMATED FILM! DISNEY'S 'TINKER BELL & THE LEGEND OF NEVERBEAST' TRAILER! JAMES WOLK TO LEAD CBS 'ZOO' SF THRILLER TV SERIES

'STRANGE MAGIC'
SECRET ANIMATED FILM FROM GEORGE LUCAS AND DISNEY
Lots of animated things, today, starting with the news from Disney: George Lucas has been secretly working on an animated musical STRANGE MAGIC which will arrive into cinemas as early as next January! It is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colourful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion. Voice cast includes Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood and Kristin Chenoweth!

JAMES WOLK TO LEAD
CBS SF THRILLER SHOW 'ZOO'
In television news, CBS has found lead actor for their new sf adventure series ZOO! James Wolk (CRAZY ONES) will lead the cast of next summer's series!  Based on the bestselling novel  by James Patterson, ZOO is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. James Wolk will play Jackson Oz, a young, renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa when he begins noticing the strange behaviour of the animals. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.

DISNEY'S FIRST TRAILER FOR
'TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST'
Disney has also released the first trailer for their upcoming animated adventure TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST! Coming out next March in the form of DVD, it will follow Nyx, a Scout Fairy charged with protecting the luscious land of Pixie Hollow and all of the fairies who reside there. A true professional who takes her job very seriously-maybe a little too seriously allowing facts and logic to guide her every move. Driven to succeed, Nyx is often willing to let compassion take a back seat. The Scout Fairies are a group of fearless fairies who protect the residents of Pixie Hollow. They are agile and athletic with a keen ability to spot trouble before it gets out of control. With the voices from Lucy Liu, Anjelica Huston, Ginnifer Goodwin, Rosario Dawson, this heartwarming story explores the ancient myth of a mysterious creature whose distant roar sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell's friend Fawn, an animal fairy who's not afraid to break the rules to rescue the NeverBeast before time runs out.

  2. I'm shocked they managed to keep Strange Magic under wraps for so long, but I guess Star Wars is one heck of a distraction!

    1. apparently it was in the works when Disney bought the studio, but they kept it a secret. He wrote the story but isn't directing this one. I just wonder how it will work with only a two months marketing
