1ST PIC OF HUGH JACKMAN AS
CAPTAIN BLACKBEARD IN 'PAN'
In the case you don't recognise him, that below is the first look of Hugh Jackman as Captain Blackbeard in new Peter PAN movie, and you can also see the first poster of little Levi Miller who is playing the boy who wouldn't grow up! To hit theatres next July, the movie will tell the story of how Peter Pan and Hook (Garrett Hedlund) started out as friends, working on Blackbeard's pirate ship. Amanda Seyfried will play Mary, while Rooney Mara will portray Tiger Lily.
ALEXANDER DREYMON JOINED BY
MATTHEW MACFADYEN, RUTGER HAUER IN 'THE LAST KINGDOM'
In TV news, BBC has announced the whole cast for their historical series THE LAST KINGDOM! I told you two months ago that, in the show set during the reign of Alfred the Great, who as King of Wessex fought off a Viking invasion, Alexander Dreymon will play Uhtred, who was born the son of a Saxon nobleman but is orphaned by the Vikings and then kidnapped and raised as one of their own. Forced to choose between the country of his birth and the people of his upbringing, his loyalties are ever tested. On a quest to claim his birthright, Uhtred must tread a dangerous path between both sides if he is to play his part in the birth of a new nation and, ultimately, recapture his ancestral lands. Matthew MacFadyen, Rutger Hauer, Ian Hart, David Dawson, Tobias Santelmann, will also star!
NEW 'JEKYLL & HYDE' SERIES
Speaking of British series, ITV has ordered new JEKYLL & HYDE set in 1930's London following young, attractive and troubled hero, Robert Jekyll, the grandson of the original doctor. Newly qualified, Robert is on a quest to discover his real identity, his true family history and the nature of his ‘curse’ which is being controlled with medication by Dr Vishal Najaran. He will be transforming into Hyde in moments of extreme anger and stress, and when his or the lives of others are threatened. The series will have CGI monsters, ghouls, zombies, werewolves, vampires and general freaks of nature!

FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD
STUNNING FIRST TRAILER!
Gorgeous first trailer with rather stunning music in it has been released for upcoming big screen adaptation of FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD based on Thomas Hardy's novel! The first of Hardy’s works to find substantial acclaim and commercial success, the novel tells the story of the inhabitants of the semi fictional Wessex and the suitors of Bathsheba Everdene, a strong minded country heiress, who attracts three different men - sheep farmer Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), charismatic Sergeant Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge) and wealthy bachelor William Boldwood (Michael Sheen). The movie should arrive into cinemas next Spring!
Wow, you can not even recognize him!! He is starting to remind me of johhny depp. A man of many faces and pla ys the parts so well.
ReplyDeleteHugh does it hundred times better than Depp :)
DeleteI never would have known that was Hugh Jackman. It certainly is a different take on the part . . . that armor and feathers are not at all practical for a pirate, but we'll see where it fits into the story.
ReplyDeletehe did lose a lot of weight in recent year... maybe while he was battling cancer two times
DeleteHugh Jackman looks like a pirate in a Mad Max movie. :)
ReplyDeletehe does?
DeleteYes.
DeleteI don't remember pirates from MAD MAX, but there were so many crazy characters in those movies,,, it's no wonder
DeleteLevi Miller is a face I recognize from other movies. He's a busy young man!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen him before
DeleteI like Thomas Hardy's rather bleak novels, so I'm looking forward to "Far from the Madding Crowd."
ReplyDeletebleak is the word when it comes to Hardy :)

ReplyDeleteI don't know who is playing Wendy in it :)
DeleteI've always loved Thomas Hardy's books. I will see the Far From Madding Crowd. Also, The Last Kingdom looks good too.
ReplyDeletewe do expect a lot from LAST KINGDOM! And from WOLF HALL too when it comes to BBC
DeleteHugh looks kinda funny... but PAN sounds great. I've always loved the story.

DeleteHugh looks like the serious type pirate.
ReplyDeleteO don't know if we'll get "The Last Kingdom" over here - would be nice.

DeleteLove Hugh! Always worth a look ... or 2 :)
ReplyDeletehe is one of the biggest thespians out there ... and such a good heart too
DeleteIs it just me or does Levi Miller look like a young Leonardo DiCaprio?
ReplyDeleteboo on Leo
DeleteNot a fan? He does strike me as a douche bag, but I do like most of his films.
Deletecan't stand him, always seemed to me like one of them extremely overrated actors, and I especially hate it when someone says he was robbed of Oscars.... What? What the what? Razzies, maybe....
DeleteHe did go down with the ship...
Deletehalf of cinema applauded
DeleteI did not recognize Hugh. I agree with Theresa. That second poster reminded me of a young DiCaprio.
ReplyDeleteit seems that Hugh's mask is a success then
DeleteI'm enjoy to see one trailer of Pan .
ReplyDeleteCheers .
hope we get it soon, I will post new PAN posters later this evening :)
DeleteDon't like the book, but that doesn't mean the movie won't be good :)
ReplyDeletemost of his books are dreadfully monotonous! I once had to write a 20 pages paper on one of his books at college.....
DeleteTorture. I'd have you write only five pages. I'm humane.
DeleteI could write it in an hour.... and sell it to clueless students....
DeleteDarling, shouldn't you have a new post up by now? I hope everything is okay with you. Moi is concerned.
