JUDE LAW IS THE VILLAIN IN
'KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE: KING ARTHUR' EPIC ADVENTURE
I can't say I was impressed when Guy Ritchie decided to choose Charlie Hunnam as the leading man King Arthur for KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE: KING ARTHUR, I just don't see him as a lead man, but now they've added a nice spice into the cast: our beloved British thespian Jude Law has been cast as the main villain in this historical adventure which is envisioned as the first part of a possible six movie medieval franchise. I've already informed you a month ago that Astrid Berges Frisbey has been cast as Arthur's unfaithful lover Guinevere. Idris Elba was supposed to play Arthur's mentor Bedivere, but he has left the project and Ritchie is currently searching for a replacement! Jude Law is no stranger to medieval projects since he is famous for his outstanding theatrical portrayal of Henry V in London!

NBC ORDERS 'BEWITCHED' PILOT
Meanwhile, NBC has ordered a pilot episode for
BEWITCHED series a new take on the classic sitcom which followed a witch
married to an ordinary mortal man, chronicling the way her powers and
wicked family get in the way of her efforts to live a normal, magic-free
life as a typical suburban housewife. The new series would focus on her
20 year old granddaughter, also a witch, who is realizing that magic
cannot conjure true love!
'COMET' TRAILER
JUSTIN LONG AND EMMY ROSSUM IN DAZZLING SF ROMANCE
I'm a bit late with this trailer, but you can still check it out: it is for COMET sf romance coming out this December in which Justin Long and Emmy Rossum are star crossed lovers whose relationship blooms and unravels over the course of six years!. When a chance encounter brings together the cynical Dell (Long) and the quick-witted Kimberly (Rossum), the stage is set for a tempestuous love affair that unfolds like a puzzle. As the film zigzags back and forth in time-from a meteor shower in LA, to an encounter in a Paris hotel room, to a fateful phone call-an unforgettable portrait of a relationship emerges. Sumptuously shot and boasting incredible chemistry between the leads, COMET is a one-of-a-kind cosmic love story.
I suppose watching King Arthur is like watching Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Depending on which character the studio wants to play up - becomes the focal point. One time Scrooge, another time Tiny Tim, oops, what about the ghosts? My point - play it by ear.
ReplyDeleteI never saw Lemony Snicket. I thought it would be too silly... even though I enjoy most Jim Carey films.
Comet looks intriguing. All that fire and ice. Thanks for the trailer.
That is how they plan to do a huge Robin Hood franchise - by focusing on a different Merry Man in each of the six or seven movies....
DeleteI did watch LEMONY SNICKET, it was monotonous and a bit drawn out for watching... Carrey and Meryl were great as always
Jude Law is aging in an interesting and attractive way.
ReplyDeletefully agreed! And losing hair looks good on him
DeleteLEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS would make for a brilliant TV series!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the COMET trailer, and anything with Jude Law would be worth watching. Just saying :)
COMET is quite promising, and Jude is always promising :) And always worth watching.
Deletehard to believe it's been ten years since the movie
ReplyDeleteyep, the time passes so brutally quickly
Deletewell, I love Jude Law in anything so I'm in for that and Bewitched could possibly be fun, or horribly stupid.
ReplyDeletewe do love Jude, he is the law!
DeleteNBC is famous for killing their sitcoms prematurely, so hopefully BEWITCHED has some charms
Can't wait to see "KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE", Jude Law may be fantastic!
ReplyDeletehe will be the reason to watch the movie
DeleteI hope Lemony Snicket is a better series than it was a movie. Knights of the Round looks like it could be fab
ReplyDeleteyep, the movie was rather dreadful and boring
DeleteI think Charlie makes a fabulous lead in Sons of Anarchy, so I think he will also be great in Knights.
ReplyDeleteLemony.... hmmm. I did not like the movie. I am open for giving the tv series a try though. They have had some time to make them a little better by now, I would think.
so many films are being turned into series, and the funny thing is that they're doing it with all thebad ones :)
DeleteFor me King Arthur is someone with long hair and a beard! But as you know me and it is a historical movie, I will watch it!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
Charlie Hunnam has both the long hair and a beard :) But he is skinny, bonny and looks like a thug not a king
DeleteThe first one sounds good to me. Thanks Dezzy!
ReplyDeletethat should be a real epic one, Pat
