HUGH JACKMAN OFFERED $100 MILLION TO BE 'WOLVERINE' AGAIN! IS ORLANDO BLOOM NEW 'BATMAN'? NEW 'WORLD WAR 3' MINI SERIES & 'THE HENCHMAN' & 'GORGEOUS MORONS' SITCOMS! SYFY'S 'HIGH MOON' CASTS JAKE SANDVIG & CHRIS DIAMANTOPOULOS

$100 MILLION TO HUGH JACKMAN
TO PLAY 'WOLVERINE' AGAIN
In superhero news today, rumour has it that Hugh Jackman has been offered outrageously huge $100 million to play WOLVERINE in next four movies in the X MEN franchise! He's already played the clawed superhero in seven movies! That news follows the info on Christian Bale being offered equally shocking $50 million to co-star in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN! But since he vowed never to return to Batman's costume, the next candidate could be Orlando Bloom who is apparently studio's favourite to join Henry Cavill in the film.
SINGING DRAGONS FROM MUPPETS SCRIBE
Meanwhile, 'Collider' reports that Bret McKenzie, THE MUPPETS songwriter, is planning a "Labyrinth" style live-action fantasy musical! He is apparently preparing the comedy musical with MUPPETS co-writer and director James Bobin. Imagined as a mix of MUPPETS and PRINCES BRIDE, the film would have singing dragons and monsters!

NEW PROJECTS AT FOX
WORLD WAR III & THE HENCHMAN
In TV news today, 'Deadline' reports about two possible new projects at Fox. The first is WORLD WAR III an apocalyptic mini series from X MEN writer David Hayter which would depict a perfect storm of world events which places us in the centre of a global battle which may bring the world as we know it to an end. In comedy department Fox has also bought a high concept comedy series THE HENCHMAN in the vein of "Despicable Me", which centres on a henchman to the world’s worst super-villain who deals with single parenthood and impending middle age!
GORGEOUS MORONS
CBS has also nabbed a new sitcom: they competed for and won GORGEOUS MORONS which centres on two stunningly handsome but dumb brothers, a model and a personal trainer, who find their lives rocked by their new roommate, a female literature PhD. who is merely very attractive.

SYFY'S 'HIGH MOON' SHOW CASTS
JAKE SANDVIG & CHRIS DIAMANTOPOULOS
Over at SyFy they're busy too: they've just cast lead actors for their new science fiction show HIGH MOON, Bryan Fuller’s series which will explore what happens when the countries of Earth establish colonies to mine the moon’s resources and discover a new form of life. Jake Sandvig (Easy A) and Chris Diamantopoulos are the lead stars - Sandvig is an American astronaut investigated for engaging in possible espionage and sabotage when a giant blast goes off near an area where he was working. Diamantopoulos is going to portray Marty’s older brother, a chief investigator for the American federal government who he has been dispatched to the moon to figure out who caused the moon explosion.

  1. Nice article. Hugh Jackman will be WOLVERINE till they reboot the franchise, so it is only fair to offer him but loads of cash till then. I like Syfy shows like Defiance but hate the Movie projects. HIGH MOON sounds promising, and the name is catchy.

    1. glad you liked it, Dave, there wasn't much material today, so I'm relieved it went good in the end :)
What? You don't like Sharknado? :PP
I watched the whole DEFIANCE season one, but was disappointed in a way. SyFy always has a doze of cheap trash in all of their programmes :( Second season of DEFIANCE should be dynamic with new mayor and Earth Republic taking over the town.

    2. Well, I would need extra funding for the expensive manicures that come with the job, obviously! Though I suppose I'd save on hair removal...

  8. Hugh should get that money for all they put him through playing Wolverine. LOL Orlando is a big no for Batman. He's too thin and pretty for Bruce Wayne, esp going against Henrilcious, that big buff man. ;)

  19. You know, if you think about it, that's only 25 million per film, so its a lot, but think of all the money the studio is going to make!!

And I hope he does it. I love Hugh as Wolverine!

    1. yep, it's just like when Celine Dion got $100 million to sing in Las Vegas, but it was a multipleyear contract. Yet, Vegas earned gazillions with her singing in the city!
