NEW ROLES FOR BRUCE WILLIS, RYAN PHILLIPE, BEN FOSTER, KATE BECKINSALE, CATE BLANCHETT, BEN STILLER, JAMES FRANCO, EMILY BLUNT, JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT ...

Now this is an interesting cast: Bruce Willis, Ryan Phillipe, 50 Cent and Jenna Dewan (Channing Tatum's wife) will star in the action thriller SETUP, which finds a group of friends accidentally getting mixed up in a diamond heist that soon turns deadly.

Another interesting cast is in CONTRABAND a thriller about a security guard who, after running into some financial troubles, decides to go on one more smuggling run. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Beckinsale.
The film which will also offer and interesting mix of actors is WHILE WE'RE YOUNG, the film about a free-spirited Brooklynite twenty-something couple ((James Franco and Greta Gerwig) who inspires an uptight documentarian (Ben Stiller) and his wife (Cate Blanchett) to loosen up - with comedic consequences.

Emily Blunt is the latest star to cameo in THE MUPPETS new movie in which the Muppets will reunite to put on a show in order to save their movie studio from a developer. Blunt joins an already star-studded cast: Ricky Gervais, Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Jean Claude Van Damme, Jason Segel, Lady Gaga, Amy Adams ...
Cool actors will be seen in LOOPER as well, a futuristic time travel thriller about a group of killers, who send their victims' dead bodies back in time, and the detectives who are chasing them. Young Paul Dano has just joined the cast which already includes Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt.

  1. Wow, how did I not hear about this Muppets movie? Unfortunately that plot sounds like most other Muppets plots, but I'm sure it'll be fun even if Jim Henson isn't around.

  4. I think that Jenna Dewan pic is the one he used for "Hisss" movie audition :))
    About the Muppet movie anyway, honestly I think at this point anyone can join the cast and it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

  6. Emily Blunt is a busy girl. When does she get time to spend with her new husband. Well, one thing's for sure, I can't wait for the muppets.

  9. Dez! I've missed you! Unfortunately most of those movies sound like generic crap, but Looper does sound like it could be good. But hearing Joseph Gordon Levitt's name makes me think one thing: I NEED TO WATCH INCEPTION AGAIN!

  10. It's true, Bry, none of those films has an intriguing plot, but I must admit I've found INCEPTION a pretentious crap as well :)))

  14. Setup has an interesting cast but the script better be way above average for it to be even remotely memorable.

  15. @Arlee
    I sure do Lee :)

    @Lisa
    yep, all of the actors mentioned above are more or less good, but the scripts sound rather average :) It was a poor day in the news department.

  16. Ooh, we have a bit of snow happening. Very festive dear Dezmond :)

    As for the movies, the Muppets sounds a laugh and anything with the lovely Cate Blanchett is a must see.

  17. SETUP is actually being filmed here in West Michigan. I've thought about trying to be an extra, but concluded that it isn't really my cup of tea. Hopefully it's good for the local economy, though! :)

  21. i'm actually getting excited for this muppet movie... i thought segel's dracula's lament puppet song was so uniquely charming, funny, and even a bit sad. i'm hoping that he'll bring something unique to this new movie. :)

  24. Whatever happened to Jenna Devan's "Magdalena" project? It's a pity no one (of consequence) seems interested in realizing that one. :(

    I'm ready for new/old Muppets. :) Haven't seen any of them in a while.

    Frankly, I'm really confused about the premise/plot of the Loopers.

  25. You are full of news!
    I think out of these, I would enjoy While We're Young the most.

    @Bels
    yes, it's sad about MAGDALENA, that would've been interesting to see.
    I loved Muppets as a kid :) Especially The Animal and Miss Piggy :)

    @Kelly

  27. I had no idea Tatum is married... wow, his wife is gorgeous! Anyhoo, Blanchett... LOVE her! Lucky Ben Foster to play opposite her, but he's a talented actor. The premise sounds interesting, would love to see Blanchett's comic side.

  28. yep, Channing and Jenna have been a popular couple for quite some time now :) And here at HOLLYWOOD SPY we love them a lot :)
    And isn't our Cate stunning in that pic?? :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like Cate with her natural color, she is pretty blonde but prettier natural. I like the dress in the photo though.

    I am looking forward to the Muppets but my kids probably wont like them. I think Yogie will be cute too.

    ReplyDelete
  30. yep, that dress is truly stunning, I wish I could've showed it whole to you, but the pic is from a magazine cover and there were letters all over the lower part of her dress :(
