Channel 5 has announced a January 10th return date for the second season of their light murder mystery series THE GOOD SHIP MURDER which will again have six episodes plus a Christmas one.

Shayne Ward returns as a luxurious cruise ship singer and ex policeman Jack who is ready to take a bold step in his relationship with ship's first officer Kate (Katherine Tyldesley), inviting her for a romantic evening at the opera during their stop in Rome. The first season aired at the beginning of January 2023, so it has been almost two years since then, but the second season of the deeply suspense- ful apoca- lyptic series THE RIG is now returning January 2nd, 2025 and Prime Video has sent us the new posters after the recent first trailer which you can see below the post! Iain Glenn, Martin Compston, Emily Hampshire and Owen Teale all return to the cast alongside newcomers Ross Anderson, Phil McKee, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Johannes Roaldsen Fürst and Alice Krige (The Borg queen from Star Trek series). As you remember, the series followed workers on an isolated North Sea oil rig, who experience a disruption to their communications as a mysterious fog begins to surround them. And then something dangerous starts appearing from the very depths of the ocean! Is Mother Nature angry, is ruined climate fighting back or are some ancient alien creatures waking up hungry and angry after centuries of sleep?

 THE SERIES FOLLOWS

 two couples who discover that their toddlers were switched at birth in a hospital mix-up. Set against the sweeping backdrop of Cornwall, they face an agonizing dilemma: do they keep the sons they have raised and loved, or reclaim their biological child? Pete (James Norton) and Maddie (Niamh Algar) are jettisoned into the world of the other couple: Miles (James McArdle) and Lucy (Jessica Brown Findlay). Rogue Heroes return this January

The first season scored success for BBC in UK so the second season of wartime series SAS: ROGUE HEROES is ready to get back on the broadcaster this January and to MGM+ in USA. After Rebus and Maigret, the latest classic detective to get a TV series reboot is BERGERAC and UKTV has sent us the first trailer for the new series. The six episode reboot will arrive in February to U and U&DRAMA free streamer. Taking the leading role of Jim Bergerac is Damien Molony alongside Zoë Wanamaker as Jim’s mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford, and Philip Glenister as Arthur Wakefield. Further cast include Pippa Haywood, Robert Gilbert, Sasha Behar, Timothy Renouf  and Celine Arden.

 

THE MODERN RE-IMAGINING
will honour the iconic detective drama, but with a contemporary twist. Unlike the original hit from the 80s, the new series will see one character-led murder mystery run across all six episodes. Viewers will meet Jim Bergerac as a broken man, grappling with grief and alcoholism following his wife’s recent death. His mother-in-law, Charlie, is concerned Jim isn’t putting his daughter Kim first and, when a woman from a wealthy Jersey family is murdered, Jim must fight through his personal struggles to become the formidable investigator he once was. With a troublesome convict resurfacing from his past, Bergerac is required to call on his sharp investigative instincts and past successes to navigate the intricate family dynamics, and watchful eyes of the police force, in order to solve the case.
