BBC'S 'A CHRISTMAS CAROL'
PUTS GUY PEARCE IN THE LEAD
After Dickensian, BBC has a plan of turning other of Dickens' works into series and the first one will be A CHRISTMAS CAROL which will air this Christmas with Guy Pearce taking the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the
series which will also air on FX in USA. The 3 part special is a unique and original take on the Charles Dickens’ iconic ghost story by Steven Knight (Taboo, Peaky Blinders) and a haunting, hallucinatory, spine-tingling immersion into Scrooge’s dark night of the soul.

Plenty of time till Christmas...
ReplyDeleteI don't know enough about Christmas and caroling; so, I wonder how this dark, ghost story A Christmas Carol, helps a modern audience get into the spirit of Christmas holiday without spoiling festivity and good mood.
It sends the message of being generous and not stingy like Ebenezer especially in the season of Christmas when you should share what you have with others.
DeleteIndeed, a carol is in fact a sort of 'teaching' device.
DeleteIn this case definitely.
DeleteYou’ve made Jason’s day with the Christmas Carol news.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that girl was ghastly! She sings way too low for the part. Just horrible. Love Zane and think his part was done beautifully, but poor guy is looking awful thin. Hope he’s okay!
I was thinking of him when I wrote the news :)
DeleteShe sings like she in a ghetto not in a musical, hideous.
Rutger Hauer?? Haven't seen him in a while...
ReplyDeleteOooh, he starred recently in the first season of Last Kingdom epic series, he played a Viking sorcerer, methinks.
DeleteI hate this movie more than The Last Jedi. Wait, they are both Disney movies... What is happening?
ReplyDeleteDisney has become the dark force of universe
DeleteRuining their own classics... Who'd do such a thing?
DeleteMoneythirsty bastards.
