Claflin. The winner of Special Jury prize at Venice Film Festival, explores the misogyny, racism, sexual violence and classism of the 1800s colonial Australia as well as the consequences of violence and the price of chasing revenge.
It follows Clare (Aisling Franciosi), an Irish convict who has
served her sentence in 18th century colonial Australia and is desperate

traumas and mutual distrust, but as their journey leads them deeper into
the wilderness, they must learn to find empathy while weighing the true
cost of revenge.
From the trailer, it certainly does look like she got her revenge. It will be interesting to see Sam pull off the villain role. It's a stark change from the sweet roles he's taken on before.
