Adriyan Rae will lead 2020 sf series
If you are up for some science fiction, SyFy has just set cast for their new ten episode sf series VAGRANT QUEEN an adaptation of the popular comic series. Adriyan Rae will take the lead role of Elida, Tim Rozon will play Isaac, and Paul du Toit will be Commander Lazaro in the new space opera which will have only female writers and directors (because that is not sexist at all, right?).

Speaking of space, here's another movie to be set in it: as 'Deadline' reports, Toni Collette, Anna Kendrick and Shamier Anderson will star in sf thriller STOWAWAY directed by Joe Penna. Anderson with play an unintended stowaway who, on a mission headed to Mars, accidentally causes severe damage to the spaceship’s life support systems. Facing dwindling resources and a potentially grim outcome, a medical researcher (Anna Kendrick) emerges as the only dissenting voice against the clinical logic of both her commander (Toni Collette) and the ship’s biologist. The film is being currently sold at Cannes.

An unexpected surprise today is the new trailer for HBO's and BBC's HIS DARK MATERIALS epic TV series based on Philip Pullman's books. James McAvoy plays Lord Asriel in the story about a young girl named Lyra
The series will air later this year on BBC and HBO
Belacqua (Dafne Keen) who travels to the Arctic to find her friend Roger. Lyra’s journey brings her on a considerable adventure across worlds and lands her in the midst of a massive war being waged across existence.

  1. The african black braided hairstyles (Adryan Rae), always turn heads. I sometimes stop to take a look at the process, out of curiosity.
    It's not cheap and it takes hours. It lasts someting like 3-4 months, methinks.

    1. I've always wondered how do they wash their hair with those braids? Speaking of hair, I often had to translate word Jewfro beside Afro hair in teenage novels.
