STATELESS
centres on four strangers in an immigration detention centre in the Australian desert. They are an airline hostess escaping a suburban cult, an Afghan refugee fleeing persecution, a young Australian father escaping a dead-end job and a bureaucrat caught-up in a national scandal. When their lives intersect they are pushed to the brink of sanity, yet unlikely and profound emotional connections are made amongst
the group. Inspired by real events, the series intertwines
gripping and devastating personal stories revealing a system struggling
with the irreconcilable contradictions of Australian border protection.

Everything about this mini-series looks interesting and relevant: the one-word powerful title, the setting of australian desert, the immigration theme of the plot, the cast.
ReplyDeleteLiving in a zone of conflicts , it did cross my mind to emigrate to Australia when I was younger. Well, everywhere far from Europe was to me, still is, the end of the world (Europe being the brains of the world, to my mind). Besides, the proximity to that awful Indian Ocean and south Antarctica was not very appealing either. I suppose I was rather naive.
Lovely photo of Cate and gown!
Too bad, you would have had fun in Australia :) Glad you liked the photo and the gown!
DeleteWatching Eurosong in your city tonight :) The hosts are horrible (the male ones) and Neta was such an embarrassment :( I did like Bar Rafaeli, though :)
What can I say? You're right (both about Australia and The Eurosong).
DeleteI did like the little videos the participants have shot dancing around your famous landmarks before each performance, they show how lovely your country is. Our country has passed into the finals, so that's good news :)
DeleteCongrats! Wish your country success in the finals!
DeleteThanks, we will need it against the Satanists and S&M freaks from Iceland and other countries.... what a Sodom and Gomorrah the world has turned into....
DeleteGreat cast list! I have missed watch Yvonne Strahovski on screen. I really liked her in Chuck and also in Dexter. Cate is always a pleasure to watch too.
ReplyDeleteSo is Jai, dahlink :)
DeleteThat's a big no from me!
ReplyDeleteCate will never forgive you!
DeleteSounds different?
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteWhat's with the six-pack? Well?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it delish?
DeleteI may need to pass.
DeleteMore for me then!
DeleteFeast upon that pack!
DeleteWhat a delish snack!
