Sarah Gadon, Fisher Stevens and Billy Magnussen. Set during the Spanish Flu of 1918, it follows a rebellious servant who leads a revolt against his wealthy employer. Isolated on a seaside estate, an entitled journalist (Billy Magnussen) and his socialite wife (Sarah Gadon) take in a mysterious grifter as a private cook (Peter Sarsgaard). When a plague descends on the island, the wily cook rouses his fellow staff to rebel and take over the mansion. Their wealthy employer suspects the cook's coup is part of a dangerous agenda, and mind games between master and servant escalate into boisterous class warfare.

A trailer has been released for Barry Levinson's WW2 movie drama THE SURVIVOR which will air on HBO April 27th. In Belchatow, Poland on the eve of World War II, Harry Haft (Ben Foster) falls head over heels in love with local girl Leah (Vicky Krieps). When he is sent to Auschwitz, it is the promise of their reunification that allows him to endure the horrors of the camp and maintain a sense of humanity. In Auschwitz, the pugnacious Haft attacks a bullying Nazi and draws the attention of Officer Magnusson, who makes him a Faustian proposal — fight other inmates for the amusement of the bored brass, or die. As the film alternates between the war's years and his postwar life in America, Haft continues his fight in the ring. His intriguing story earns him a fight with renowned champion Rocky Marciano, all in thehopes that Leah is still out there somewhere, watching. Based on the book “Harry Haft” by Alan Scott Haft, the film also has Billy Magnussen, John Leguizamo, Peter Sarsgaard and Danny DeVito in the cast.

And here it is: the latest rendition of timeless classic A Whole New World set as the end title for Disney's live action ALADDIN which flies into theatres this month. It is performed by surprisingly good Zayn and awfully mismatched vocals from a singer called Zhavia Ward (I've never heard of her, but her singing sounds ghastly bad in the song, even offensively disrespectful to the genre, but that's a millennial for you, sadly)! You've probably seen it by now, but here it is at your Spy's lair too: first teaser for Disney's live action version of ALADDIN which will arrive into cinemas next May. The casting process has pretty much turned me away from it, but maybe you will like it. The good news is that the teaser doesn't have Will Smith in it as genie. Mena Massoud plays Aladdin, Naomi Scott is Jasmine! Billy Magnussen is Prince Anders, while Marwan Kenzari is Jafar. The most bizarre of things is that it is being directed by gangsta loving Guy Ritchie. What a disappointing choice for a fairy tale movie.
