Beside that, together with Disney Plus they are also making two spin off TV series MILADY: ORIGINS which will follow the beginnings of the elegant villainess and BLACK MUSKETEER which I announced a few years ago. To be shot in French, the series will build on the experience gathered making the $80 million worth historical adventure movie saga based on Alexandre Dumas' work. First film D'Artagnan is out April 5th, the second December 13th! The film hits Russia April 6th, and parts of South America and Europe from April 13th! Both films were shot back to back! The same team is also preparing Count Monte Cristo movie with Pierre Niney in the lead role.

will follow D'Artagnan (Francois Civil), a spirited young Gascon, who is left for dead after trying to save a young woman from being kidnapped. When he arrives in Paris, he tries by all means to find his attackers. He is unaware that his quest will lead him to the heart of a real war where the future of France is at stake. COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO ALSO IN WORKS

In the film, which you can get an exclusive first look today in the photos from Vanity Fair, Dìrísù plays the dashing Mr. Malcolm, a wealthy and elegant suitor looking for a bride who meets all the qualifications he has on his list. Freida Pinto plays Selina Dalton, a woman who helps her friend Julia Thistlewaite (Zawe Ashton) get revenge on Mr. Malcolm after he rejects her for falling short of his lofty criteria. The film, which arrives to theatres July 12st this summer, is based on the book of the same name by Suzanne Allain and the cast is rounded out by Oliver Jackson-Cohen as the sociable Lord Cassidy; Ashley Park as the bubbly Gertie Covington, and Theo James as the debonair Captain Henry Ossory! When he is sent to Auschwitz, it is the promise of their reunification that allows him to endure the horrors of the camp and maintain a sense of humanity. In Auschwitz, the pugnacious Haft attacks a bullying Nazi and draws the attention of Officer Magnusson, who makes him a Faustian proposal — fight other inmates for the amusement of the bored brass, or die. As the film alternates between the war's years and his postwar life in America, Haft continues his fight in the ring. The movies will arrive in 2023

From our spotlight on period set projects coming from France this year you already know that we can expect a series on Young Voltaire, Germinal and royal mistress Diane de Poitiers, and a film on Eiffel, but France is already planning projects for the future as well! One of them will be a new movie adaptation of THE THREE MUSKETEERS envisioned as a two movie saga coming from Pathe and director Martin Bourboulon. As Allocine reports, the films, which are to start with the shooting this summer for an early 2023 release, will focus on D'Artagnan and Milady in a story written by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière.
