CBS ORDERS DARK FAIRY TALE FANTASY SERIES 'TELL ME A STORY' WITH JAMES WOLK, PAUL WESLEY, KIM CATRALL, BILLY MAGNUSSEN!

CBS 'TELL ME A STORY' SHOW
CASTS JAMES WOLK, PAUL WESLEY AND KIM CATRALL
Well, this will certainly be a hunky cast: James Wolk, Paul Wesley and Billy Magnussen are set to lead fantasy series TELL ME A STORY
James Wolk will lead the new show
together with Kim Catrall at CBS! The psychological thriller will bring a dark look upon classic fairy tales weaving them into modern setting.

TELL ME A STORY takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and “Hansel and Gretel” into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.

JAMES WOLK, who starred in CBS's ZOO series, will play Jordan, a young, idealistic and successful New York City restaurateur. When the unimaginable happens,
Paul Wesley will be a derelict druggie!
Jordan’s life falls apart and he begins a decent into madness which could cost him everything, even himself.

PAUL WESLEY, whom you watched in The Vampire Diaries, will portray Eddie, a derelict and troubled individual whose petulance is fuelled even more by his problems with drugs and alcohol. Although he works as a bartender, he also splits his time as a low-level drug dealer and part-time thief with his older brother Mitch, who never fails to treat Eddie as the lowly delinquent that he is.
Kim Catrall a grandmother for the first time
KIM CATRALL, returning to US TV for the first time after Sex and the City, will play Colleen, an unlikely and very non-traditional grandmother. When her son moves back home, bringing with him a troubled teenager, Kayla (Danielle Campbell), this former chorus girl is going to have to grow up finally and take on the parental duties to protect her family against a very dark and sinister threat.

Billy Magnussen will be a young school teacher
BILLY MAGNU SSEN, who will also play a prince in Disney's live action Aladdin, will play Nick, a young high school teacher who’s handsome, seductive, and quite possibly a wolf in sheep’s clothing. After a wild night with a girl he met at a nightclub results in a hookup but no phone numbers swapped, he thinks his chances with her have gone out the window. But when he runs into her again, he’s sure to take advantage of his second chance, proving he’s sensitive, understanding… and, quite possibly, too good to be true.

    1. She was really bad in Witness for the Prosecution two years ago at BBC, hope she'll be better now

  2. I've seen Kim Catrall only in Sex and the City, and I remember her as a good actress, perhaps the best of the four girls. With the above mentioned hunks, she'll do,I think, a good job.

  5. Paul Wesley can read me a bedtime story any time he wants ;)

I loved Kim on SATC, but agree, she hasn't had any memorable roles since. I do give her big brownie points for putting that witchy Sarah Jessica Parker in her place though. That lady is as fake as they come and I applauded Kim for calling her out on her bullshit.

    1. One Wesley for you, one Wolk for me, thank you very much.

It was such an interesting situation. Kim said she felt like the atmosphere at the SATC set was like in a high school (which she did not enjoy as she suffered in real high school) and that Sara would bring cookies, presents and other things to the crew making it feel like a popularity contest. I understand them both, but I do believe Sarah should've offer her sympathies privately, not publicly, I hate media whores.

  6. Must be really difficult for Kim Cattrall to get rid of her SATC stereotype and be cast for something else!
