HAILEE STEINFELD TO LEAD
EMILY DICKINSON TV SERIES!
The series will, sadly, be a comedy one |
DICKINSON
will be set in the 1800's during Emily Dickinson’s era with a modern sensibility and tone. It takes viewers into the world of Emily audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit in to her own time through her imaginative point of view. Dickinson is Emily’s coming of age story – one woman’s fight to get her voice heard. The series will join two sf series from Ronald D. Moore and Steven Knight that I've announced earlier!

'THE CHILDREN ACT'
TRAILER WITH EMMA THOMPSON, BEN CHAPLIN AND STANLEY TUCCI
Amazing trailer has been released for August 24th movie THE CHILDREN ACT! As her marriage to Jack (Stanley Tucci) flounders, High Court judge Fiona Maye (Emma Thompson) has a life-changing decision to make at work - should she force a teenage boy, Adam (Fionn Whitehead), to have
the blood transfusion that will save his life? Her unorthodox visit to his hospital bedside has a profound impact on them both, stirring strong new emotions in the boy and long-buried feelings in her. Ben Chaplin plays the boy's Jehova's Witness father.
The movie is the big screen adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel! |
"The Children Act" looks like the worst kind of melodrama to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they have to deliberate on the decision, though. Dump the parents in jail, cure the kid and ban all religion :) Dezzy for the supreme ruler!
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more. Nothing infuriates me more than parents who debate or even refuse life saving treatment for their children, all in the name of religion. Brain washed bunch of feckin' idiots don't deserve to have the gift of a child if you ask me.
ReplyDeletethey don't, I just can't grasp it. Religion is fanaticism.
DeleteA blod transfusion... Hmmmmm. Well, all I know is that Stanley Tucci rocks, so I will watch it in spite of the drama.
ReplyDeleteand he is still good looking.
