MICHAEL FASSBENDER IS "THE COUNSELOR"? RUSSEL CROWE CHASING DRACULA IN "HARKER"! VINCENT CASSEL & LEA SEYDOUX IN "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"!TRAILER FOR RYAN KWANTEN'S "7500"! BAFTA 2012 RED CARPET REPORT!

According to "Deadline" this year's biggest Oscar snub Michael Fassbender has a new role: he might join THE COUNSELOR, which will be directed by Ridley Scott and is written by Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, ALL THE PRETTY HORSES). Fassbender will play a respected lawyer
who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation. Yet another of the upcoming films to touch the topic of vampires will be HARKER, which is, according to
"MovieWeb" a revisionist take on Bram Stoker's Dracula story, with the tale centering on Jonathan Harker, a Scotland Yard detective who becomes consumed with finding Dracula after a spate of grisly murders. It is interesting that Warner Bros. is negotiating with Russell Crowe to take the lead role in the movie which will be directed by Jaume Collet Serra, whom you know as the director of ORPHAN and the cancelled AKIRA epic. As you know, Russell has LES MISERABLES to finish, next to Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne and Anne Hathaway and he might also take the lead role in Biblical epic NOAH.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Beside two different TV shows which will be based on the famous BEAUTY AND THE BEAST story (fantasy one BEAST on ABC
and legal one BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on CW), and the freshly released 3D version of Disney's animated classic on the same fairy tale, according to "The Hollywood Reporter" we shall also watch a live action French version as well to be directed by Christophe Gans the helmer of the famous BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF and SILENT HILL. The French film will have amazing Vincent Cassel and Lea Seydoux in the lead roles. The director promised that he "will surprise the audience by creating a completely new visual universe never experienced before and produce images of an unparalleled quality".

One of the trailers I forgot to post earlier this month is the first clip for 7500 supernatural thriller which will hit theaters later this summer, with supercharming Ryan Kwanten from TRUE BLOOD in the cast alongside Leslie Bibb, Amy Smart and quite forgotten Johnathon Schaech. The scary story of this thriller revolves around the passengers
of Vista Pacific Flight 7500, who come to realize that an evil force is with them on the flight across the Pacific Ocean. Kwanten and Smart will co-star as married couple who board Vista Pacific Flight 7500 with their two longtime friends for a trip to Japan. Bibb is set to play a flight attendant on the transpacific liner, who is involved in a complicated and secret relationship. Sounds super scary, horrors in confined or isolated places have always been the only ones to attract me to watch them.

BAFTA 2012 FASHION REPORT
So, have you watched BAFTA 2012 awards  tonight? The ceremony of the British film awards usually doesn't have that much celebs at the red carpet, but definitely the most stylish one this year was Miss Piggy
whose golden locks and mushroom grey dress stunned everyone at the red carpet :) Equally charming was Holliday Grainger from THE BORGIAS, who looked very tender and dreamy, while living legend Meryl Streep looked very seductive in her black corset gown.
Penelope Cruz had interesting dark red dress, very simple, but refined, while Gillian Anderson also looked lovely in her beige dress. Viola Davis looked lavish in her pink gown, but had a bad hairdo, while the freak of the evening definitely was Hayley Atwell who
managed to put on herself the most abominable blue thing I've ever seen at any red carpet. When it comes to boys Eddie Redmayne, Michael Fassbender and Tom Hiddleston  were definitely the most dashing gents. You can find the winners here.

  1. We just went to the movies this afternoon and saw "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" -- sooooooo complex and convoluted but well worth the effort. Always love seeing Colin Firth in any role.

  2. You've made me very happy with this post. :)))

Oh, and the projects sound interesting too. Even the vampire chasing one with Russell Crowe.

And I think I like Penelope Cruz's dress the best, but I'm always attracted to red the most. :)

    1. wonder with what :)))
Yep, Penelope's dress was lovely, although I don't like the woman herself.

  3. You know they are out of ideas when they have four seperate things to do with beauty and the beast coming, that is just plain sad. Another vampire movie yippeee, not! We've been plagued with those dead things since Buffy retired.

    2. Good! As long as it's not a dreaded remake.

    3. oh, but they're planning a BUFFY remake, they're just not sure whether to use the show or the film as the basis for a remake :)

  4. The film with Fassenbender looks good, McCarthy is a great writer. Surprisingly, Crowe doesn't appeal to me. I love big men who look like they've been rode hard and put away wet, but he puts me off somehow. I'm seriously pissed about the BAFTA's though. Mrs. Browns Boys didn't win. I'll never forgive them for that!!

    1. Crowe is just too mean and evil, and has to many private issues to be interesting in any way. I don't like such negative people. Fassy also didn't win last night :(

    2. He is mean and a bad drunk as well. Award programs can be fun, but when they overlook certain people and do it repeatedly it puts one off.

    3. it's true, sometimes I think the meaner or more shallow you are the bigger the star you are as well. Look at Russell, or the drug and alcohol addicts whom masses love and even make cults around them, look at stupid wenches like Rihanna who sing about how they killed a man and do it in a cheerful style and shallow crowd worships her... This world is sometimes so depressing, Annzie!

  7. 7500 looks awesome! I love the idea of being enclosed on a plane and facing down an evil force. The BAFTA dresses looked terrific. I love Meryl's look.

Can't see Russell as Harker as Harker is a young attorney, unless of course he's been hunting Dracula for thrity years like Van Helsing.

    2. I also like thrillers in enclosed space, they're more exciting :) Especially when the space is in some snowy or polar surroundings.
You, know, I had to turn whole post blue just in order to post that pic of Fass My Benders. It just might be the most perfect male body I've ever seen with those pecs, abs, waist... Some guys were born perfect.

  12. After 2 versions of Snow White, let's have 3 different versions of Beauty and the Beast -_-

I love Gillian Anderson!! I wish she could play in more movies, she's gorgeous and she always was a great actress.

I'd probably appear in midnight blue or moss green suit with a long coat like in Arthurian times. I'd be the star of the red carpet :)

  15. I also liked the red dress Penelope Cruz was wearing the best - simple but architectural design and the color suited her as well. Holliday I agree with you looked lovely - and so grown up. Even Meryl Streep who usually doesn't have the best choice of dress at award shows looked good, I agree. Tilda I thought looked great for her personal style - second time I've liked what she's wearing at awards show. Can't wait for the Oscars!

    1. yep, the cut around the cleavage was lovely. I have to check out how the celebs were dressed at the Grammies last night and decide whether to do a fashion report :) Adele was gorgeous as much as I managed to see in first 20 minutes before I fell asleep :)

  18. Michael Fassbender doesn't look like a respected lawyer in that picture. I suppose it's his sexy look? Oh no.... not a Bram Stoker remake. I still haven't recovered from the first one. Miss Piggy never grows old. I wonder what she's on.

    1. you mean respected lawyers don't have killer bodies? I think there's a basis for a legal suit against you :))) You've offended all the lawyers :)
Miss Piggy is the queen, and always will be! I think she's on frog's legs :)
