FAKE DRAMA SERIES
TO PAIR UP ASHER KEDDIE AND DAVID WENHAM AT PARAMOUNT +
Paramount Plus has set a new Australian project: Asher Keddie and David Wenham will lead FAKE series, a startling new story of love in a world of liars, cheats, fantasists and phonies, inspired by the book by Stephanie Wood.
The eight episode series follows Birdie Bell (Keddie), a beautiful, smart and brilliant magazine features writer who thinks she has found “the one” when she meets successful grazier Joe Burt (Wenham) on a dating app.
Convinced by her well-meaning friends and family that this couldbe her very own happily ever after, Birdie begins to believe that it is finally her chance to live the fairy-tale. As cracks start to form in Joe's stories, Birdie soon discovers her boyfriend isn't all he has led her to believe. Asher, who is also producing, has had a recent break out in her career after starring in Stateless and Nine Perfect Strangers.
Are two women the same? They look quite similar yet like two generations.
ReplyDeleteThat is the same actress LOL But probably has more make up and better lighting in the first studio shoot photo than in the second one which is from the series itself. Wenham also looks better with the beard than without it, methinks.
DeleteI would probably watch this one if I could find it on Paramount. I have that so hopefully.
ReplyDeleteIt will air on it probably next year.
DeleteOoh, this sounds good! You know I love me limited runs and 8 episodes is perfect. I’d hate to try dating in todays world. Love in a world of phonies, cheats and liars sounds horrific!
ReplyDeleteAnd millenial libtards and snowflakes.
