FIRST STOLIPIN IMAGES
FROM NEW PERIOD SET TV SERIES
We are starting this Monday from Russia where I have managed to dig out for you first images from historical series STOLIPIN (Столыпин) which is currently in production over in the northern capital of Sankt Peterburg and should launch on Russian national broadcaster and also on Smotrim streamer sometime next year directed by Aleksei Andrianov and with the story set at the tumultuous and revolutionary days of the first years of the 20th century. The cast includes Alexander Ustyugov, Alexander Yatsenko, Stasya Miloslavskaya, Pavel Popov, Yuri Nasonov, Sergei Barkovsky, Daria Konyzheva, Boris Kamorzin, Pavel Trubiner, Andrey Urgant, Vladimir Yumatov and other Russian actors and stars.
THE STORY STARTS IN 1906
Pyotr Stolypin (Aleksandr Ustyugov), newly appointed Minister of
Internal Affairs of the Russian Empire, arrives in Sankt Peterburg. A
group of maximalist revolutionaries is developing a plan to kill the
“enemy of the revolution.” But how to get close to such an important
person? Who will emerge victorious in this confrontation - fanatical
supporters of the revolution, firmly convinced that they are right,
ready to lay down their lives in the name of alleviating the lot of
oppressed workers and peasants, or the all-powerful chairman of the
cabinet of ministers, working tirelessly just to restore order in a
country torn apart by political violence... Stay tuned as I will ad more images and posters along with the first trailer as soon as we get them.
If Stolypin had not been murdered perhaps there would have been no revolution. I'm glad Russia is cleaning up his image
ReplyDeletePossibly, although it had been long time in preparation so maybe nothing would had stopped them. In the end, the way tzars ruled Russia did cause the disatisfaction among the people, so it is their own fault.
DeleteOhh there we are on the same page. It's like Mexico, Russia never had a good government/ruler
DeleteThey did have very popular and beloved rulers who brought changes, reforms or made their country bigger, but for the little people it is always tough. America also never had a good ruler, all vile and spreading fear and war around the world, but then again it would be very hard to name good governments, maybe some in Scandinavia or Switzerland.
DeleteThank goodness for Russia or it seems we would have nothing new on the horizon this year. I do like the costumes in this one.
ReplyDeleteThey do look richer than in other series.
