FINIST: THE FIRST WARRIOR

The movie will hit cinemas January 2025 |
FINIST YASNIY SOKOL
is the most famous hero of Belogorye, the strongest,
most dexterous and most deserving. Well, and the most beautiful, of
course. All other heroes look up to him, children want to be like him,
and girls can't stop looking at him. And who could blame them? Finist is a real superstar. And
he carefully protects and maintains this status. He needs more and more
feats, he is simply obsessed with them. But there is a nuance. The
practical benefit of the feat for Finist is no longer of decisive
importance. Let's say, freeing a village from a herd of wild boars that
tramples down crops is boring, uninteresting, futile: they won't spread tales about it, they won't admire it. But going to the end of the world, where
Beauty is imprisoned in a tower, guarded by an unimaginable Beast, now
that is a challenge.
A GORGEOUS BABA YAGA
Beside our boo Kirill the Breathtaking, the cast also includes Russia's most beautiful female star Yulia Peresild who plays probably the most gorgeous Baba Yaga we have ever seen, with Fedor Dobronravov also in the ensemble alongside always funny Sergei Lavigin as Finist's assistant and right hand, albeit a very clumsy one, Meleha, and wildly handsome Fedor Gamaleya as some kind of Arabian or Persian prince or knight at least judging by the photos of him under a turban. Before this one arrives to the cinemas, TV Russia will also air, sometime later this winter, an eight part television series THE LAST WARRIOR: LEGACY which is also set in the same world with Finist also taking part in the story. I will post a trailer as soon as we get it.
Oof, the bowl cut is horrible LOL. Can we get Mother Russia to come make movies for us here? I'm sick of the same old recycled crap. I'd love some of their fairytales to grace our screens.
ReplyDeleteWhenever people shoot medieval projects they tend to go mild with the hairdos opting not to make them as ridiculous as they were at the time, and the same goes for the costumes. They always give it a tinsy dash of something modern so that the audience would digest it better. I remember Matt Damon wearing a bowl cut in The Last Duel and it really was despicable to watch... but then again the whole movie was horrid.
DeleteOh, I remember that Matt Damon bowl cut. I blocked it out of my memory until just now. I agree. The movie was horrid. Jason is a Matt Damon fan, but I don't think I've ever loved any of his movies except Good Will Hunting, but that's probably because I was so fond of Robin Williams.
DeleteIt was terrible, especially as the book itself was not that bad. Affleck was also terrible in it, almost parodic. And Adam Driver is always terrible with his stoned snout.
