THR reports that two delightful creatures Lily Collins and Sam Claflin will star in LOVE, ROSIE, which is based on Cecelia Ahern's novel "Where Rainbows End" and details the story of a young Irish girl who discovers she's pregnant after one night with the most popular boy at school. She tells her best friend, who is not the father of her child, to get on with life without her - and over the next 12 years, lives change, but the two remain connected. Sam Claflin, whom you've seen in PILLARS OF THE EARTH, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, will also be seen in THE QUIET ONES about a University physics professor who assembles a team to help create a poltergeis, in THE HUNGER GAMES CATCHING FIRE as Finnick Odair, in the 1920's set THE LAUREATE as famous poet Robert Graves, and next year in OVERDRIVE where he and Karl Urban play a pair of handsome and adventurous brothers, known for being high-profile car thieves, who travel to the South of France looking for new challenges and come across a tough local crime boss.
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Deadline reports that Irish star Colin Farrell has joined Anthony
Hopkins in SOLACE. The story of the crime thriller centres on an FBI
agent who seeks out a doctor (Anthony Hopkins) with psychic powers to help solve a string of grisly murders. Colin Farrell will portray the serial killer who goes toe-to-toe with the good doctor. We are waiting to see who will play the FBI agent in the movie. Some time ago HOLLYWOOD SPY informed you that Markus Zusak's book THE BOOK THIEF is getting a movie adaptation, and now we have the casting news: Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson will star next to little Sophie Nelisse. The WW2 drama centres on Liesel (Nelisse), a spirited young girl who witnesses the horrors of Nazi Germany while in the care of foster parents (Rush and Watson). The girl arrives with a stolen book and begins collecting other tomes, learning to read while her step parents harbour a Jewish refugee under the stairs. Rush’s character first takes on the young girl for money but soon comes to love her. Watson’s character is described as being very tough on Liesel, but her kindness occasionally shows through.

TELEVISION HEADLINES
This Sunday you read HOLLYWOOD SPY's extensive guide through 2013 pilot shows, but we already have new pilot projects: THR reportsthat ABC has ordered BIG THUNDER pilot which revolves around a brilliant, late 19th century New York doctor and his family, who are given a once in a lifetime opportunity to relocate to a frontier mining town run by a powerful but mysterious tycoon. They quickly realize that not everything in Big Thunder is as it seems. ABC has also added a lottery drama pilot to their list: titled LUCKY 7, the story will revolve around seven employees of a service station in Queens whose lives are changed in many unexpected ways when they win a lottery jackpot! And after a long search, a strange choice has been made for the role of Star-lord in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY sf epic. For reasons unknown Chris Pratt has beaten Lee Pace, Zachary Levi, Eddie Redmayne, Jim Sturgess and many other actors, and will take the role. It's possible Marvel chose him because he buffed himself extremely recently!
The thing about the most popular boy in school is because he's got a rockin' body and probably a big d*ck. Mmm yeah, I said that. Is one night of fantastic passion worth the baby that could result from that? Heck yes. I love babies. Plus if you can't afford it, the social security net in the U.S. will give you money. And let's face it...Mr. Popular will always have money. It's the non-popular people that stand on the corners and hold signs that say "Will work for food."
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say if that guy up there is the baby daddy, I'd totally suck his...
Anyway...off to slink to my corner of the internet.
I don't want my imperial body ruined by pregnancy that is why I've never messed with the popular boys in school LOL
DeleteAnd Sam Claflin isn't available, he is engaged to gorgeous Laura Haddock whom we shall watch soon in DA VINCI'S DEMONS epic show, so, Mikey, you will have to suck on a lollipop or something :P
Imperial body? Yes, my queen.
Deletenow bow and off you go fetch my crown....
DeleteIt's true, your imperial abs would never be the same. :P
Deleteyou see, Mikey, this is why L.G. has reserved the spot of my Imperial viceroy in my galactic domination plans..... :)
DeleteYeah, no babies. They are so not worth ruining one's royal bod for. Little bastards! LOL
DeleteYes, we shall find a surrogate mother if ever we wish to have an imperial heir to our intergalactic throne :)
Deletesomething... something... hot stuff [Lily Collins], we got a winner. Yes I don't know either.... it's been that kind of day!
ReplyDeleteI won't tell you Lily is barely of age, since you will again be dragged into hell :P
Deletewell the first four letters of Hello... is Hell... it's a start?
Deleteindeed and absolutely
DeleteA lot of times I don't know who these people are.
ReplyDeletebut they are nice to look at, aren't they? :P
DeleteSome are, some are too movie-star like for me.
Deletepfft... aren't you a picker :P
DeleteI am, thank you.
Delete:-)
:P
DeleteWow. Lots more shows and moveis to look forward to. I love the news and tidbits I get from your blog.

Glad you like the work that we do, Nutschell!
DeleteI don't know how you manage to keep up with all of this!! Big Thunder sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI did have Borg parts implanted into me twice last year, you know ;)
DeleteMr. Claffin is getting a lot of work since Pillars. And I don't know why, but I'm always underestimating Colin Farrell, and then he ends up impressing me in movies. *shrugs*
ReplyDeletehe is yet to impress me in anything. Not even his home porn film has left me impressed :)
DeleteIn Bruges was good, I thought.
DeleteI know you like that one, Marcy
DeleteI loved that movie. I thought he was good in a couple of others too, like Ondine and The Way Back (?).
DeleteI still haven't seen THE WAY BACK, but I do love such epics.
Deletehe just always makes me cringe, after what he did to poor Alexander the Great (hair perm).....
DeleteI'd be interested in learning more about "The Laureate." Robert Graves was a fascinating poet. He did much to reintroduce the concept of the Divine Feminine into Western thought.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I've read the plot of the film, it will be about some love triangle he was in or something like that. should be fun...
DeleteI like the one with Anthony Hopkins and Colin Farrel. And yes, who will play the FBI agent?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it will be a female one....
DeleteAnother teen pregger dramarama? No thanks, baby mamas and baby daddies are over.
ReplyDeleteChris Pratt is going to rock. He is a lot more buff than the others, who really are cute, but not muscular and warrior-like. Especially Redmayne, who is so darned thin he looks like he'd get blown away in a high wind. I do love him, though. :)
Redmayne and "blown" in the same sentence, Melsy? You do know I have a very naughty mind.... :P
DeleteLMAO! I love how you could not resist pointing that out. it's no wonder you are the intergalactic ruler of the sexy 'verse. ;D
Deletewell, how could I resist, I never could :)
DeleteThat Irish flick looks great. I think it will be nice to see.
ReplyDeleteshould be good with that lovely cast! Love them both to bits....
