paranormal version of it. It will be a television adaptation of Stacey Jay's novel JULIET IMMORTAL. In the novel, according to "The Hollywood Reporter" Juliet was murdered by her new husband, Romeo, as a sacrifice to ensure his immortality. What he didn't anticipate, however, is that Juliet would be granted eternity and spend her days fighting her former beloved to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. It is interesting that the same network is preparing another love story - TV show out of Nicholas Sparks THE FALLS which is a modern re-imagining of Romeo and Juliet!
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS FULL LENGTH TRAILER
Last week I showed you the teaser for science fiction sequel STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, and now a longer trailer of J. J. Abram's film has been released to please the crowds. It is interesting that the
first nine minutes of the film have been showing in front of screenings of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" (which is breaking records currently with more than $200 million earned worldwide in only few
days) since December 13. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for,
leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships
will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew. The old cast returns - Karl Urban, Chris Pine, John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto with Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain.
All this teasing with the Star Trek clips is killing me. It's another six months still! Sigh. That was a fun peek though. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't that a festive outfit you've got on in your new banner! I'll be here for the goodies that day. :D
it was a mix of atmospheric and dynamic in the end :)
DeleteI do have to dress properly and set trends here in the blogosphere, it's not easy being a fashion icon, you know :PP
By the way, I'm hoping for lots of free samples of those holiday cakes, my little trendsetter.
DeleteSend me a hunky postman and I shall tell him to deliver you my cakes :) He will be a bit late though in coming back ;)
DeleteI could get lost in those captivating blue eyes.
ReplyDeletepfftt. mine are prettier :P
DeleteYou have the absolute most gorgeous green eyes my handsome, Dezzy!
Deletethou speaketh wisely, Elsie :)
DeleteI hope the world doesn't end this week, because I really want to see Star Trek!
ReplyDeleteand if it plans to end hope Karl Urban will come to save me :)
DeleteAncient Roman style!
Deletehe does look good in Roman and Greek outfits as we've seen in XENA and SPARTACUS :) He often visits me as Caesar in my dreams....
DeleteWOW! It looks like it's going to be a good one. I do think Pine was the right choice for Kirk because his eyes have that same intensity. There are just so many possibilities since they split the timeline. The references to the original time line will be fun to find and in the trailer I've already spotted two.
ReplyDeleteWe are so going to own this when it comes out on DVD. The Hubby and I are about to start watching Next Gen from the beginning again.
I do cherish special feelings for NEXT and NEW GENERATION. I grew up with them and since they were airing at British Sky One each evening at 18h, I used to eat my sandwich for dinner in front of my telly with the Enterprise crew :) And I used to go to sleep in the evening watching HOME IMPROVEMENT and GOLDEN GIRLS at Disney Channel. Good times.... kids now eat and sleep with FIST OF ZEN and JACKASS :((
DeleteI loved the Golden Girls and The Spawn adores Betty White. I've seen Home Improvement, but didn't really like it. That Tim guy is a coke head who beat his wife and that put me off him.
DeleteParents who let their children watch such things as Jackass are shite. Never heard of Fist of Zen.
I didn't know that about Tim, I always had deep respect for him, now I must investigate that :((( The only thing I sometimes don't like in his new sitcom is that sometimes they are a bit republican when it comes to his character in it.
DeleteIt's good thing you don't know what FIST OF ZEN is, darling, it's a truly stupid and deeply shameful show in which people humiliate themselves for a small amount of money.
I'm sooo looking forward to Star Trek. But you know that already ;)
ReplyDeleteindeed I do :)
DeleteI have to second that - Chris Pine's eyes are amazing - as are yours from what I can see from your profile pic ;)
ReplyDeleteI won't be tuning in for Juliet Immortal - I really dislike love stories and I'll be surprised if this one is well received - sounds kind of lame and contrived :p

DeleteOh, how come you not likey love stories, Jane?
Okay, not all love stories - I do love Woody Allen and Nora Ephron movies :)
DeleteI can't play the video for some reason but I'm sure the Star Trek crew will triumph in the end!
ReplyDeleteTry it again, the video works OK, I cannot post a clip from YouTube because Paramount has been taking them down today a lot :(
DeleteI'll be watching for Juliet Immortal :)
ReplyDeletehope it will be good :)
DeleteI am so looking forward the the new Star Trek movie. I really liked what they did with the first one :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, after a long time the first STAR TREK was rather lovely and refreshing and I loved how it focused on the crew instead of some villains.
DeleteI never read Juliet Immortal, but I gotta say I am hooked! I think I should read it before the series comes out.
ReplyDeleteit also has a second part if I got it correctly titled ROMEO REDEEMED :)
DeleteI still need to watch the first "new" Star Trek movie.
ReplyDeleteyou must, it is really good
DeleteStar Trek is going to be a thrilling and deep film. I can't wait. Of course the best things about it are Karl and Zachary. ;)) Juliet Immortal might be pretty interesting as R&J has always been one of my fave plays.
ReplyDeletethey finally gave us a glimpse of Karlito in the trailer :) Me was over the top with happiness :)
DeleteI think I just geek'd myself. Can't wait for Star Trek next year :)
ReplyDeleteJamie
it is such a long time to wait, hope HOBBIT will entertain you till then
DeleteI actually enjoyed the first one quite a bit. This one will hopefully be as good.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first one too, which was refreshing since films before that weren't all that good in the franchise.
DeleteBlasted Paramont! Messing with the clips!! I'll get them somehow...after I see the movie in what? The summer?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this movie! "Khan!!" I'm so excited for all of the characters and as I said before, Simon Pegg is a favorite of mine. Plus, they are sneaking in a website into the trailers that I'm checking out today. Goodness, I have to admit it. I'm a trekkie but only kinda.
I never really understood studios and TV channels which ban trailers for their programmes and films, especially when they're banned in certain countries. As if I'm not promoting them but myself while posting clips.
DeleteStar Trek movie you say? Need to take Theresa to see that.
ReplyDeleteyou really need to
DeleteWow - Juliet Immortal sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Suzie :)
DeleteCan't wait for startrek!! benny is so damn hot as the villain :)
