"Hollywood Spy" wrote about the upcoming mini-series "Ben Hur" a few months ago, but here's the new update with fresh pictures. Click on the above image to read the story.
No, you can watch fresh new episodes of all American series and shows only in the USA (I'm from Vojvodina, Europe), in other countries and continents they are broadcast (if some domestic channel buys them) with a smaller or bigger delay (usually months, or sometimes years). That's why so many people just steal shows and movies from the Net by downloading them.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES are broadcast in my country with a delay of more than a year :) But my favourite is, off course, Bree Van de Camp :))
Some people download new episodes of current series just so that they could watch them at their own time. Even though they can watch them on regular TV (on the night of first screening).
This new Ben Hur could be good. Too bad it's the well known, old story.
Hi Dezmond, I just heard about this recently and posted about it (http://wp.me/pxXPC-V9) with the teaser trailer from YouTube. I LOVE the 1959 version and IHMO it'd be tough (read: impossible) to top that one. Still, if that'll expose young people to this beautiful story, then I guess it's a good thing.
Btw, on an unrelated note, I'm glad someone recognize 'A Walk in the Clouds' I saw that in your poll of romantic movies. I thought the story was very sweet and noble, and Keanu's performance was surprisingly moving.
Hey, Ruth, HOLLYWOOD SPY has I think three or four posts on BEN HUR. I like epics and historical movies and mini series, so I've followed the production of this project in my blog. It can't be compared with the classic movie, of course, this will just be a small mini series suitable for Easter time on TV.
The warmth of A WALK IN THE CLOUDS is the reason why I've added it to the list of most romantic movies. It just has the magic.
PS, I've added your blog to my blogroll here in HOLLYWOOD SPY :)
GIVE SOME LOVE TO YOUR DEZZY :) DON'T FORGET THAT BLOGGER'S NEW COMMENT BOX OFTEN REQUIRES FOR YOU TO DISABLE PROTECTION ON YOUR BROWSER IN ORDER TO COMMENT.
Quick question, DEZMOND, do you get to watch Desperate Housewives tonight or is it playing later where you are? :)

Ah, I love Lynette, myself. Super excited about the 6th season kickoff tonight.
ReplyDeleteSorry this has absolutely nothing to do with Ben-Hur, except the network, I guess. :)
I've published their uber cool promo posters last month, you can find it in my blog ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I commented, didn't I? That's why I asked! :D

there was a teaser trailer this summer at YouTube but somebody erased it, so we'll have to wait a bit for the new one.
ReplyDeleteIt will come up, eventually. :)
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt it will look good though. Most of the modern high-budget TV shows look very good.
thanks to the CGI era :)))
