It is yet to be published this June, but it sparked a war amongst the buyers at London Book Fair and
Lucy Foley's new novel
THE MIDNIGHT FEAST has been sold to UIS for a TV series adaptation. Guests gather for the opening of The Manor Hotel, the new jewel on the Dorset coastline. The champagne is flowing, the guest list sparkling, the sun setting on an unforgettable summer solstice. But under the cloak of celebration, something dark is stirring. The Manor has a secret history; built in the shadows of an ancient wood. Now old friends and enemies are creeping out of the shadows. And they’ll soon discover what other deadly secrets come out at night.
It's going to be a very interesting series! You'll have to watch it, but yesterday I went to the cinema and saw "Bastard" with Mads Mikkelsen. Great video.
ReplyDeleteI have it downloaded, but have not watched it, it is called The Promised Land in English. I had spotlights on it here before.
DeleteIt's a good, adequate title in the English version, but we in Poland already have Andrzej Wajda's film of the same title based on the novel by the Nobel Prize winner Reymont, so we have "The Bastard".
DeleteThey have changed the title of the film a couple of times during prooduction, at one point it was also No Man's Land.
DeleteGotta read the book first..should be quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming this sommer.
DeleteI could see myself watching this series, it sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteShould be good especially with a good cast.
DeleteOooh, I’m intrigued. I will, however wait to read the book first.
ReplyDeleteShould be fun.
