THE CHORAL MOVIE
RALPH FIENNES AND JIM BROADBENT TO STAR
Sony has got themselves quite a cast for their new period set movie THE CHORAL from director Nicholas Hytner who will work with Ralph Fiennes, Jim Broadbent and Simon Russell Beale in the film set in Ramsden, Yorkshire in 1916, following the chorus master and most of the men of the ambitious local Choral Society, who have volunteered for the front. Under the direction of the demanding, driven Dr. Guthrie (Fiennes), the Choral recruits a crop of teenage boys and girls. Together they discover the joys of singing and the urgency of desire as the new boys come to terms with their imminent conscription into the army. The pic explores the humor and humanity at the heart of a community facing an uncertain future.
With Ralph Fiennes, the film is for sure worth watching.
ReplyDeleteAnd with Broadbent as well, he is a much better actor than Fiennes.
DeleteA good cast, indeed. I’ll look forward to the trailer, but it does sound like one I’ll be wanting to add to my watch list.
ReplyDeleteI do like to listen to male voices singing. It is very sexy when a man knows how to sing. I wish I had an r'n'b voice mellow and seductive.
DeleteOh, indeed. Jason is the same, much prefers male singing over females. Though he did go through and Adele phase for awhile there.
DeleteI am surprised he liked her, cannot stand her, think she cannot sing as she screams from the bottom of her belly like Xtina. She is also a disgusting person.
DeleteI was surprised too, but sometimes we just latch on to things that just don't make sense to the rest of the crowd I suppose.
DeleteTrue that.
