SEE WILDLY HANDSOME CARLOS CUEVAS IN 9TH CENTURY SET MOVIE DRAMA HOLY MOTHER (LA ABADESA) TRAILER

    HOLY MOTHER TRAILER
FOR NEW SPANISH PERIOD SET FILM
La Abadesa is out March 22nd in Espagna
Admittedly, the trailer itself does look bland and visually even ugly, but your treat for today is our favourite Spanish hunkster, wildly gorgeous Carlos Cuevas who stars in it as a rather handsome knight as you can see in the first images. You remember him from many Spanish shows including Netflix gay comedy Smiley in which he falls for a grumpy architect. Now he stars in HOLY MOTHER (La Abadesa) medieval drama movie which enters Spanish cinemas March 22nd. It is both written and directed by Spanish filmmaker Antonio Chavarrias.

 HISTORICAL MOVIE HOLY MOTHER
is set in the 9th century and it stars Daniela Brown as 17th year old Emma, a newly appointed abbess, tasked with the formidable challenge of repopulating and revitalizing frontier lands on the edge of Muslim territory, at the bequest of her powerful family. Filled with resolve she decides to assume her power to confront a patriarchal and dominant world in a society that relegated women to a socially secondary and meaningless role.

  3. Eh, probably one I'll skip. The nun looks like Elliot Page, methinks.

    2. Oof, they tried passing her off as 17? She must have had a hard life during those 17 years to look like she's 40 LOL!
