Pushchin, Anna Chipovskaya in the role of Countess Elizaveta Vorontsova, Ilya Lyubimov as Vasily Zhukovsky, Evgeny Schwartz as his imperial highness Emperor Nicholas I and Sergei Gilev as Alexander Benckendorff.

I am not into poet, so don't know about Alexander Pushkin. I like certain kind of musical movies, like Hair and Grease, not sure I would enjoy this one though. My husband is watching an American science fiction comedy Resident Alien.
ReplyDeleteDeary, Pushkin did not write just poem, he is the author of almost all of the Russian legendary folk tales, such as Ruslan and Lyudmila and also of legendary stories such as The Queen of Spades, and novel Captain's Daughter, and one of world's most famous plays Boris Godunov. Not to mention Eugene Onegin.
DeleteThe poster has a magical feel to it. I'm very much drawn to it. If this were a book, I'd immediately put it in my cart for the cover alone. I'm not much into musicals, but if this were available here, I'd probably watch it.
