great tragedy of the Moscow people's militia. About those hundreds of thousands of civilians who helped the army save Moscow by signing up as volunteers. At the call of their hearts, they went to defend their city, their homeland, and remained there forever, on the battlefields, blocking the path to the heart of their country, to the capital. People without military experience, who should not have fought, detained the tanks and soldiers of the most powerful and merciless army in the world. Apart from faith in victory and a sincere human desire to be useful to the Motherland, these people had nothing to oppose the enemy. There were no weapons, there were not even simple everyday skills to survive in field conditions. But they survived. The script is based on the memories of militias and front-line soldiers.

  1. I wonder how these innocent people survive...I doubt faith alone would take them far...

    1. They didn't, deary, it says so in the post: they blocked the road against the Nazis and stayed there forever. They sacrificed themselves to give their city a chance to prepare for the fight. Such examples of unbelievable heroism in WW2 and WWQ1 are typical of Russia and Serbia and some other Slavic people because we do not suffer slavery and injustice. This is why in the end those two nations, Russians and Serbs were the key factor in breaking down the Nazi spine.

  2. We will probably not get this here, but I’ll have to see if I can pirate it somewhere. It does sound like one that I would enjoy. Unlike Jason, I don’t watch a lot of ww2 films, but I do like to read books centered around that time period.
