MICHAEL FASSBENDER
IN 'TRESPASS AGAINST US'
Tones of casting news for you this Saturday, starting with our dear Michael Fassbender. We've last mentioned him while speaking about him taking the lead role in the movie adaptation of MACBETH next to Marion Cotillard, and also about him leading the cast in the upcoming big screen adaptation of ASSASSINS CREED video game, and now he has another new gig: 'Variety' reports that he is negotiating to star in TRESPASS AGAINST US. In the story which revolves around the outlaw Cutler family, who have been robbing wealthy estates and taunting law enforcement for more than three generations, Michael Fassbender would play Chad Cutler, who defies the expectations of his father and tries to escape his family's criminal enterprise. The film will feature The Chemical Brothers music.
KATE BECKINSALE ENTERS
'THE DISAPPOINT- MENTS ROOM'
Another gorgeous star, Kate Beckinsale is planning to take the lead
role in THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM which was written by television star
turned screenwriter Wentworth Miller who wrote STOKER with Nicole Kidman
and Matthew Goode last year. The movie will see Beckinsale playing a
woman who moves her family into a countryside Colonial mansion. But
soon, she begins to lose her mental composure when she discovers secrets
about the house's violent past, and begins seeing visions of a dead
girl. This isn't the only film in which Kate has mental issues. In ELIZA
GRAVES Jim Sturgess will play a medical grad who finds a job at a
mental institution where he falls in love with his new colleague played
by Beckinsale. What he doesn't realize is that all of his new colleagues
are actually mental patients who had taken over the staff.
HEAVENLY SWORD
THE FIRST EPIC TRAILER IS HERE
Earlier this week the first trailer was released for the movie adaptation of popular video game HEAVENLY SWORD. The animated CGI movie is a dramatic tale of revenge that sees Nariko (Anna Torv), a fiery red-haired heroine, embark on a quest of vengeance against the invading King Bohan (Alfred Molina) and his army. Once considered the failure of a legendary prophecy, Nariko must wield a sword that was ultimately meant for another. This ancient HEAVENLY SWORD, once belonging to a powerful deity, can never be wielded by a mortal without slowly and inevitably killing them. For Nariko, it's a race against time to avenge her clan before her life is irreparably overtaken by the omnipotent Heavenly Sword. Thomas Jane is also in the voice cast.

ReplyDeleteyep, and her red hair comes in handy when she has to strangle an enemy on a battlefield...
DeleteI want to dye my hair cherry bomb red now...
Deletedo it, do it, do it :)

Deleteit's been six years with no sequel, why a movie?
ReplyDeletemaybe to get all of us who've never heard of the game introduced with the whole thing? :)
DeleteI am just now becoming a big fan of the brilliant Michael Fassbender. I know, I know, I'm late to the party!
ReplyDeletenever too late when we're speaking about Fass My Benders :)
DeleteTrespass Against Us sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeletecould be a good one with Fassy in the lead role
DeleteTrespass against us sounds good. You are steadily helping me add to my must see movie list!
ReplyDeleteJust don't forget that I announce them years ahead :) Gotta plan the future agenda in advance :)
DeleteCool trailer Dezzy ~ I am intrigued though by the Disappointments movie theme ~ Happy weekend ~
ReplyDeleteyep, films about people with mental problems are always intriguing.... says Dezzy the psychologist :)
DeleteMarion Cotillard is great. And she usually has a great choice in film.
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely happy that she got the role, because it was originally meant for an atrociously bad actress whom I won't name here :)
DeleteMichael Fass-my-Benders. I do enjoy hearing news about him. Looking so forward to his Macbeth.
ReplyDeleteAnd, wow, look at that. Another woman warrior in a bikini. :- /
Fassy is the bending power of our lives :) I've hated most of his movies, but always adored him himself :)
DeleteShe stole the costume from Red Sonja :)
The first thing I noticed him in was HUNGER. Movie was okay, but his performance was stunning. Had the same response with a few other films of his. And it wasn't until a couple years later I realized he was in 300 -- coincidentally also in a bikini. :))
Deleteah, yes, I stand corrected, with 300 - there's one of his films I adored :) And I also liked CENTURION.
DeletePS only a few days before HOLLYWOOD SPY reaches 3,000,000 visitors :) If you're here when it happens please be a doll and do a print screen of the historical moment :)
DeleteYes, yes, yes! You are so close to 3 MILLION visitors. You're empire is growing. :))
Deleteimagine if all of my minions gave me just one cent for each visit :) I'd have a house now :) And wouldn't be a poor little spying beggar that little moi is :(
DeleteHeavenly sword seems quite interesting. I'm always wary of game to movie ports though as the acting and animation comes across as a bit pants compared to the games footage.
ReplyDeleteyep, it is strange making an animated movie out of something that is already animated
DeleteI haven't heard a peep about these things before. I am so far out of the loop. Thanks for keeping me up to date!
ReplyDeletebe welcome, Pat, always here to inform the masses :)
