  Adventure, passion, revolution and love for nature: these are the colors of Sandokan, the event series that gives life to the immortal character created by Emilio Salgari. The series goes to the roots of a myth, exploring the origins of the Malaysian Tiger and telling his trajectory from a simple adventurer to the prince of the pirates. In Borneo, a tropical paradise inhabited by the native tribes of Dayak, but dominated by the ruthless law ofthe colonialist British, Sandokan is a pirate who lives by the day: he fights only for himself and for his crew, including the trusted Yanez. But his life changes when he meets Marianna, the beautiful daughter of Labuan’s British consul during a raid. It is the beginning of an impossible love story between two similar souls: Marianna, of European and noble blood, but with the wild spirit of those who grew up in a tropical paradise, and Sandokan, pirate and adventurer, who without knowing it carries within himself the blood of ancient warrior kings. On their trail will be the legendary pirate hunter Lord James Brooke, who will stop at nothing to capture Sandokan and win Mariana’s heart. which asks: What if Ashur (Nick Tarabay) hadn't died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatusin return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion? Beside Lucy Lawless who
 will return later this Autumn as Lucretia in flashbacks, the cast will have Graham McTavish, who takes a leading role alongside Tarabay as Korris, Ashur's Doctore, the lead trainer of the gladiators in the Ludus, an ex-gladiator who won his freedom in the arena. There are also Tenika Davis (as Achillia, a gladiatrix who's determined to surpass her male counterparts and win her freedom), Jamaica Vaughan (as Hilara, an elevated house slave who's in love with Ashur), Ivana Baquero (as Messia, a house slave in love with Hilara), Jordi Webber, (as Tarchon, a brash gladiator), Claudia Black (as Cossutia, a politician plotting Ashur's downfall), India Shaw-Smith (as Viridia, Cossutia’s daughter) and Leigh Gill (as Satyrus, the leader of the Brothers Ferox, which are the gladiators from a rival Ludus).  Shot two years ago in Italy, sees Pettyfer playing a struggling romance novelist stuck in a passionless relationship who goes to Italy seeking inspiration, and unexpectedly finds the girl of his dreams.Michelle Danner also stars in it, beside helming it. Set in the Arizona Territory of the 1870s, the film will follow a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who is thrown into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws (Jane, Hammer and Jonah Kagen), a beautiful woman (Mary Stickley), and her  wounded husband (Eli Brown), in an attempt to survive the elements and hostiles of the western frontier. a wagon full of crucial medical supplies that is targeted in an Apache attack. The only man who can guide it through to its destination is Merrick Beckford, but he needs to enlist the help of a trio of dangerous outlaws. The Sturlungs were a powerful Icelandic clan and the Sturlung Saga is a collection of Icelandic stories and histories written and assembled in the 12th and 13th centuries. FURY will focus on the Sturlung Era, a period defined by family betrayal, shifting alliances and violent uprisings. Truenorth Studio's series is the story of two brothers pulled into a war that will destroy their family and their country!

A period set movie on Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, has been announced as a British Indian coproduction. ELEMENTARY, MY DEAR HOLMES set in 1906 London, finds Doyle grappling with personal turmoil, including his dying wife’s wish for him to marry another woman, while becoming embroiled in the case of George Edalji, a wrongfully convicted man of Indian descent. As Variety reports, the film also delves into the plight of Oscar Slater, another victim of judicial injustice, as Doyle applies his investigative prowess to real-world cases that mirror his fictional detective’s adventures. Srijit Mukherji is directing.

We have the first trailer for the movie adaptation of famous Finnish epic KALEVALA titled THE STORY OF KULLERVO which should hit their cinemas January 16th next year. Set in the 11th century Kalevala, we follow the ill-fated Kullervo (Elias Salonen). Growing up in the aftermath of the massacre of his entire tribe, Kullervo comes to realise that the same people who brought him up, the tribe of Untamo, were also the ones who slayed his family. As a child, he was sold into slavery, mocked and tormented. When he finally runs away from his masters, he discovers surviving members of his family, only to lose them again. As last month over in sweet mother Russia they have started with the production of new expensive fairy tale movie CHUDO YUDO I thought I should share the first images with you from the movie about the legendary dragon Chudo Yudo that guards the entrance into the Slavic underworld. He is a cunning shapeshifter and a master trickster, a dragon with multiple fire breathing heads. Sofia Lopunova, Mikita Voronov, Sergei Bezrukov, Victoria Isakova, our dearest Rinal Mukhametov, Alexander Semchev, Sergei Epishev and others star in the film that should land into Russian cinemas October 22nd 2026. The same team that worked on Little Humpback Horse is producing this one as well.

 

  WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE FILM?

The plot centers on Otrada (Sofia Lopunova), the daughter of powerful magicians Bolotnitsa (Viktoria Isakova) and Chernogor (Sergei Bezrukov). On Otrada's coming of age, it is discovered that she has been deprived of the magical powers she was supposed to have inherited from her parents. To remedy the situation, the young sorceress urgently needs to find a lover in the human world and marry him. Along with Otrada, her mysterious friend, Chudo-Yudo (Mikita Voronov), who can transform into anyone: a bird, an animal, and even a handsome prince, sets off into the human world.

The movie should be out in cinemas December 5th. The spoof comedy follows loveable pick-pocket Eric Noone (Radcliffe) as he lands a job at English manor house Fackham Hall. He quickly rises through the ranks and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (McKenzie) blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed  leaving Rose and her family’s future perilously uncertain. His career is stalling, he’s on the brink of a divorce, and he’s feeling guilty about being an absent father to his young son. During a freak rainstorm, he has a fleeting and powerful connection with the captivating Inma (Arjona), and these two strangers in a strange land are consumed by mutual attraction. But this isn’t a love story. These are adults with baggage, unable to walk away from their pasts. Sam also develops a bond with charismatic local guide Abdullah (Masry), whose unlikely friendship offers him the chance to further explore his emotions. According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered mini TV series WEATHER GIRL based on a play by Brian McDermott with Julia McDermott reprising the role from the theatre. Set in a wildfire ravaged California, the show will follow career driven television weather girl Stacey, whose polished on-air persona masks her deep anguish over the destruction consuming her hometown. After reporting from a burning home with a family of five inside, she begins to spiral. The plot intertwines fears of the climate crisis and a strange reunion with her mother, who abandoned her long ago. Brian Watkins will be the show runner, executive producer and will also direct the first episode.
