SPOTLIGHT ON NEW FRENCH 19TH CENTURY PARIS SET TV SERIES MONTMARTRE WITH HUGO BECKER, VICTOR MEUTELET

 MONTMARTRE COSTUME DRAMA 
WITH HUGO BECKER HAS STARTED AIRING
The series has eight episodes
Back in August your trusted spy showed you the first trailer for this eight part costume drama but it finally started airing in France at France 1 broadcaster earlier this week with the story set against the backdrop of the cabaret scene in the MONTMARTRE Parisian neighborhood! Set at the turn of the 19th century, the historical drama tells the intertwining stories of a trio of characters. Céleste (Alice Dufour), is a determined Cancan dancer who is desperate to fund a search for her long-lost siblings. Arsène (Victor Meutelet) is a wealthy young engineer, who breaks off an arranged marriage to embrace his hidden love for men. Meanwhile, Rose (Claire Romain), works in a laundry and dreams of a simple life. Hugo Becker (as a police inspector), Mathilde Seigner, Thibault de Montalembert and Mikaël Mittelstadt will also star for TV France 1.  STORY IS SET IN PARIS
 In year 1899. Céleste, a cancan dancer in a Montmartre cabaret, desperately tries to find the brother and sister from whom she was violently separated as a child when their father was murdered before their eyes. To pay Léon, the inspector in charge of finding them, she has no choice but to dance nude. Céleste thus becomes the first striptease performer in Paris, causing a scandal quite against her will. From show to show, as she gains confidence, a new life opens up to her but the demons of her past keep catching up with her.
