VIKINGS: VALHALLA SERIES
TO END WITH SEASON THREE
As it was originally planned when it was first ordered for 24 episodes, Netflix hit series VIKINGS: VALHALLA will end with the third season next year concluding our heroes' epic journey. Set in the early 11th century, the series follows the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived, Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett) and his sister, Freydis. The final episodes pick up seven years after the conclusion of second season, with Freydis now the undisputed leader of pagan Jomsborg, while Leif and Harald have achieved glory in Constantinople. But greater challenges lie ahead in order for each to reach their ultimate destiny. In one of the new season three images today you can see Goran Visnjic who joins the show as Erik the Red, the legendary Viking father of Leif Eriksson and Freydis, who is living in exile in Greenland for crimes he committed in Iceland and Norway. Florian Munteanu joins as General Maniakes! It is also expected for Laura Berlin and David Oakes to return in the final season as Queen Emma and Lord Goodwin.
I wish most series would end after 3 seasons. I tend to lose interest by season 4 and have to force myself into finishing by that point.
ReplyDeleteMost of them do lose their mojo after too many years, three should be enough, but this one does seem like it started yesterday even though it has been on for five years now. I am for example perfectly fine with Ted Lasso ending with season three, I am finishing season 2 and they can become repetitive and slow with too many years behind them.
DeleteYes, and you can always tell the seasons where they're just throwing crap at a wall and hoping it will stick just to keep the series going. Those filler seasons I hate with a passion.
DeleteMe too! Tudors have had a lot of such seasons.
DeleteLooking forward to this one. One of the reasons why I'm not giving up on Netflix
ReplyDeleteLeolicious looks so fine in it! Wish we got some David Oakes pics too
