THE TASTE OF THINGS
FIRST TRAILER WITH JULIETTE BINOCHE AND BENOIT MAGIMEL
The film opens this November around Europe |
THE STORY FOLLOWS
Eugénie (Juliette Binoche), an outstanding cook, who has worked for the famous gastronome Dodin (Benoit Magimel who in real life has a daughter with Binoche) for 20 years. By dint of spending time
together in the kitchen, a loving passion has been built between them
where love is closely linked to the practice of gastronomy. From this
union are born dishes all more tasty and delicate than the others which
go so far as to amaze the greatest of this world. However, Eugénie,
eager for freedom, never wanted to marry Dodin. The latter then decides
to do something he has never done before: cook for her.
The film from Juliette Binoche I have watched is Chocolate. I wonder if she really cooks in real life.
ReplyDeleteGiven that she is a mother she probably does. She does not, though, have the looks of a woman who enjoys food.
DeleteIdk, my dad loved to cook and eat and stayed paper thin his whole life. Poor guy was buying those heavy calorie drink mixes to try to put in weight and just never could. Me on the other hand can look at a pic of food and gain 400 pounds.
ReplyDeletePoor? Seems like he was a lucky bastard LOL Wish we had metabolism like that.
DeleteI know it was a source of self esteem issues with him being so tall and thin. I imagine the same way an obese person who can't lose weight looks at their body. Same mental coin, just opposite sides for each. I suppose the saying is true that we always want what we can't have.
DeleteIt is true, thin people do not like being so thin, although I think it is better being thin than fat like me.
