HILARIOUS "THE HEAT" TRAILER WITH SANDRA BULLOCK & MELISSA MCCARTHY! RYAN KWANTEN, TOM JANE, CARY ELWES IN "REACH ME"! "DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION" FILM ADAPTATION!

You know how much HOLLYWOOD SPY loves ensemble films, and this one really has tones of famous names in the cast: "MovieWeb"
reports that Ryan Kwanten, Thomas Jane, Kelsey Grammer and Kyra Sedgwick have joined REACH ME cast which already has Sylvester Stallone, Tom Berenger, Cary Elwes, Ving Rhames, rapper Nelly, Danny Aiello and many others. Currently filming in Los Angeles,  it will be an uplifting ensemble comedy drama, a story of redemption and hope, about a dozen fractured characters whose lives intertwine and eventually collide as a result of a self-published motivational book and its anonymous author.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Just a few days ago HOLLYWOOD SPY has written about ASSASSINS' CREED and SPLINTER CELL movie projects, and now we have another video game getting its
film adaptation: Scott Derrickson will direct DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION film version. Set in the near future, when dramatic advances in science, specifically human augmentation, have triggered a technological renaissance, the super popular and high selling video games follows Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT security specialist who must embrace mechanical augments in order to unravel a global conspiracy. The film will also mix cyberpunk with philosophical ideas and concepts. It is interesting that arcade game ASTEROIDS is also to be made into a film helmed by TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE producers.

THE HEAT TRAILER
If you are in the mood for a fun comedy, check out the first trailer for action comedy THE HEAT which teams up Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy and is ready to open in cinemas next April.
Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence, and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.'s "finest," is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and
uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies.

  1. Melissa and Sandy together. I can not imagine how funny that will be. They are both hilarious. Hope it isn't overwritten, though. I will definitely be seeing Reach Me too. Hey, I'm finishing Gone Girl and I heard the female lead (Amy) was going to be portrayed by Gwyneth Paltrow whom I love. Any truth here?

    1. they're quite a match, aren't they? :)) Although it's always strange for me to watch Melissa naughty and aggressive, since she will always be Sookie from GILMORE GIRLS to me :)
No idea, about that one, Gina, haven't heard of GONE GIRL, but will inform you if I spy something.

    2. That's what I first think any time I see her in a movie...Sookie!

  2. The Heat looks great!! What a perfect pairing those two women with those personalities make. We've seen these kind of friendship cop movies with men and it's nice to see one with women. The trailer had me laughing from start to finish.

We need the comedy darling, we need it desperately!

    1. it will be HIGHlarious :) Somebody asked today if Sandra wasn't maybe a cop in her real life too since she constantly plays them on film :)

    2. I like her better in something like this than I do in the lightweight romantic comedies she does. Those end up all being the same story over and over again. She is a good comedian I just wish she'd broaden her range a bit.

    3. yep, especially since she is so good in emotional dramas. Loved her in CRASH and EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE. Can't wait to see her in sf suspense drama GRAVITY.

    4. I haven't seen any of those films darling. Sorry.

    5. CRASH was deeply touching and moving film, darling, I recommend you watch it on Netflix or DVD, it is one of those films that will make you and hubs talk about it for hours after and I know you love that. It's one of the films that moved me on deep levels.

  7. OMG I am still laughing from The Heat. What a brilliant movie! I LOVE Melissa and Sandra. I cannot wait. ;)

Reach Me sounds great, but Ryan is a bit of a dud. I haven't liked him in anything and he's not all that nice looking, either. To me anyway. I know I'm a Philistine and have no taste. LOL

    11. Well Dezz - I can feel the heat too, but mine is a mid-life thing - and when it's not the mid-life heat...it's because I'm in hot water!

Looks like I've rallied the posse so buckle up and get ready for some fun...April is just around the corner!

You'll have to give me heads up when The Heat hits the theatres so the girls and I can plan our outing! You'll be the ring leader! :P :P :P

  11. The Heat looks like a lot of fun. It could all turn out to be a dull bore but Bullock and McCarthy look to have some chemistry. It reminds me a bit of Stakeout with the male combo of Dreyfuss/Estevez!

  14. It would be interesting to see Kelsey Grammer in a film; I'm only used to watching him on that Frasier TV show and a few other programs. He's the only one among that ensemble cast that I'm the most familiar with....just not in film.

I never even heard of "The Heat," but the pairing of Bullock and McCarthy in a comedy makes for some good entertainment. This might outdo Bullock's previous stint as a detective in the old beauty pageant comedy, opposite Benjamin Bratt. What's up with the soundtrack on that HEAT movie trailer though? Almost makes me want to go to a club, not call the police! LOL
