Cowan and TWILIGHT's Charlie Bewley. Set in the violent world of Viking Britain in 871 AD, this will be the story of a young Viking warrior, Steinar (Bewley), sent by his father the King (Cosmo) on a quest to find his estranged brother, who was banished from the kingdom many years before. Steinar's epic journey across hostile territory gradually sees him emerge as the man his father wants him to be - the ruthless and unforgiving successor to his throne. I've told you before that Clive Standen is also starring in History Channels upcoming VIKINGS epic series. The second epic project is HERCULES which I've already mentioned before but now it has been officially confirmed that Dwayne Johnson will take the lead role in Brett Ratner directed movie adaptation of the graphic novel "Her-
cules: The Thracian Wars". This story centres on the title character, who fights other people's battles for money, along with his group of mercenaries. He finds a higher calling when he defends the mythical Mount Olympus from an evil army. As you know, Dwayne should also star in DAVID AND GOLIATH next to Taylor Lautner but that one doesn't have an official production date yet.
WORLD WAR Z TRAILER
worldwide like mad ants! With the aim to be one of summer 2013 blockbusters this zombie adventure has a dynamic story which revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate
humanity itself. The cast of the epic film also includes Matthew Fox, David Morse and James Badge Dale as Captain Speke, an American soldier who tries to warn the government that the threat of zombies is real, and the director is dashing Michael Forster from QUANTUM OF SOLACE. The whole film is based on the popular book by Max Brooks
which became a worldwide bestseller. As you probably remember, the shooting of the film underwent lots of problems - from all the weapons used in the scenes being seized by the Hungarian police, to Brad Pitt shooting some of the scenes in a Viagra factory and to tones of American cars and trucks being shipped over to UK sets to give the authentic look.
SWEET! Hollywood finally got around to making viking movies :D
ReplyDeletetones of Viking projects coming in the future :)
DeleteHELL YES!!! on this post... from the bottom of my zombie heart! sorry i am swearing...
ReplyDeletethere will be zombies here tomorrow as well :) We're kinda having a zombie week :)
DeleteLOVE all the historical epics. My little bloodthirsty heart is quite happy. :))
ReplyDeletemine is too, although mine isn't bloodthirsty :)
DeleteWorld War Z is looking the dogs undercarriage!
ReplyDeleteI've no idea what that means, but I take it you're delighted :PP
DeleteWorld War Z Looks awesome! Now those zombies look SCARY!!!
ReplyDeleteyep, they come like ants and make little me all scared... hold me, Lyndy...
DeleteI am looking forward to World war Z. Hercules, not so much. I've never been a fan of Johnson and have considered him a C actor in an A world. Thank you for the updates. Cheers.
ReplyDeletecheers to you as well
Deletethumbs up to zombies and Brad Pitt. Should be fun :)
ReplyDeletewe have to get prepared for a possible zombie invasion!
DeleteWWZ trailer scares me Dezzy ~ I don't think I can watch it ~
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates ~
it is extremely scary, I almost pooped in me pants :)
Deletecan't wait for WWZ, it's going to be really interesting to see what a big budget zombie flick will be like. ;)
ReplyDeleteJohnson as Hercules is all good in my book. I LOVE The Rock. And the Viking epic sounds terrific as well.
They really got me scared with all those zombie hordes.... the ones we're used to in THE WALKING DEAD are slow as snails compared to these freaks...
DeleteI saw the trailer for WWz a few days ago and it's not something I want to see. It's just way too much violence for me. I like zombie story's but this had non stop shooting, killing and blowing up cars. And I really don't like to look at Brad Pitt. I find him quite ugly and I don't think he can act.
ReplyDeleteit is, the way they were shooting at them with machine guns and the way those zombie hordes were swarming really was disturbing and nightmare inducing.
DeleteI do agree with you on Pitt. He has some amount of talent, but is generally pretty cold like Damon, Affleck, Renner.... Not my type of acting, I like them old school, British thespians, Irish thespians.... Australian ones.
I still think that we've had way too much zombie stuff in such a short period of time. Wish people would leave it alone for a bit.
ReplyDelete'tis true, although they do get us prepared for a possible real zombie outbreak you know :)
DeleteWWZ is a book I've always wanted to read but always forget to buy. Now with the movie coming out I'll have to buy it. This is a must see for me and my zombie loving family!!! I can't wait to show them the trailer when they get home. Thanks, Dezzy =)))
ReplyDelete**and yes, the real zombie breakout is just around the corner...I'm going to have to start stocking up supplies! =P
there will be more zombie trailers later today and some rather hilarious ones :)
DeleteI already have supplies of canned beans, peas, corn and toothpaste :) Gotta have my teeth clean in the zombie outbreak, when I watch WALKING DEAD I always wonder with what on Earth do they bathe and wash themselves.... and who cleans their teeth without a dentist around
Hammer reminds me of 300
ReplyDeletethe poster, yes, a bit..
DeleteSo the only things it has in common with the book are the title and zombies?
ReplyDeleteno idea, Joshie, haven't read the book :)
