HOLLYWOOD SPY has reported before that Benedict Cumberbatch is taking the lead role of the famous freedom fighter and human rights hero Assange while McAvoy will be portraying Daniel Domscheit Berg, whose book "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange At The World's Most Dangerous Website" serves as the basis for this biopic. The role was previously meant for Joel Kinnaman while the lead role was originally planned for Jeremy Renner. Julian Assange launched the WikiLeaks website in 2006, recruiting Daniel Domscheit Berg to join the site a year later with promises that the duo would change the world. The site came under fire when several diplomatic cables were released that embarrassed many world leaders. Domscheit Berg claimed that he left the site due to Julian Assange's lack of journalistic integrity.

WARM BODIES TRAILER
Continuing our zombie week which started this weekend with a new THE WALKING DEAD episode and continued yesterday with WORLD WAR Z trailer, today you can see the first delightful trailer for WARM BODIES. Hitting theatres next February, quite appropriately given the fact that this is a zombie romance :), the film follows a young zombie (Nicholas Hoult from JACK THE GIANT KILLER and X-MEN) who after becoming involved with the girlfriend (Teresa Palmer) of one of his victims, sees their romance setting in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world. It seems that love really is what makes us human! Directed by Jonathan Levine, this movie on zombie love problems also stars John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Rob Corddry.
booo on the warm bodies, it's a love story... yeah on James McAvoy, Tom and the sweet treat that is... Bridget Regan.
ReplyDeletezombies are becoming a sitcom...
well, zombies deserve some lurvin too....
DeleteWe do love Bridget although not as much as we adore Tabreth Bethel and Jessica Marais :)
Cold Body looks really good and it's the humour that is pulling me in. Zombies with some laughter thrown in equals loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteNow onto the Scotsman at the top of the page-me loves Scotsman. It's always a treat when I arrive here and see a pic of a hot one on your page dear.
I like Cumberbatch very well and I think the film will be a good one.
warm, not cold bodies, darling :P
DeleteWe do love us McAvoy, he was so good at the beginning of his career in DUNE TV series
Well if they hadn't have put Cold Bodies on that bright red flyer, I'd be less confused darling.
DeleteLOL, 'tis true, they wanna convince us that even cold bodies have warm hearts :)
DeleteIt's a little tough to see a zombie as a love interest. I would think there would be a rotten smell, too. Hygiene is so important you know. :PP
ReplyDeleteThe Assange project has some great casting so far. :)
well zombies are kinda cold, and you know how the meat keeps longer when frozen :) But kissing a zombie with that breath.... hmmmm.... thanks, no....
DeleteBased on breath alone, I think my dog is a zombie. :PP
Deletewell he does eat meat the favourite zombie food :P That's why my vegetarian breath smells like violets :PPP
DeleteTom Hardy needs to kick his agent in the crackers!
ReplyDeleteI'd do the same to Gerry Butler's agent :)
DeleteWhat a treat seeing James McAvoy at the top of this post.
ReplyDeleteWarm Bodies looks interesting. I'm always up for a zombie tale.
I love to feature him in my posts, but believe it or not, the thing that always shocks me is that posts with him are always my least visited ones :(
DeleteOoooh yesssss!!! Warm Bodies is RIGHT up my alley. And how sweet. Just in time for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteSee, I promised yesterday :)
DeleteYes, but I have been so crappy about getting online lately I missed it! I think I'm back for real now! xx
Deletethere will be no zombies in the new post later today, but we shall have some sf and some musicals
DeleteAh, I watch the trailer for the zombie movie last night and loved it! I hope it lives up to the preview.
ReplyDeletefingers crossed :)
Deletelol!! Warm Bodies looks hilarious! I love the twist on an old theme.
ReplyDeleteIt is positively hilarious, isn't it? :)
DeleteOMY Dezzy my kids love zombie movies :( and they like see in MY BED LOL
ReplyDeleteyep, Gloria, kids love zombies these days...
Deletethe wikileaks one sounds interesting
ReplyDeletethe cast is very interesting so far
DeleteWarm Bodies looks like a winner!
ReplyDeleteit does, Jay!
DeleteThanks for all the eye candy Dezzy....
ReplyDeleteHot or cold they look awesome. What a sexy guy Tom is and Bridget has that stunning alabaster skin. She looks like a marble statue ... cool but the lips and bow scream hot, alluring, passion.
be welcome, Michael :)
DeleteI did love Bridget in LEGEND OF THE SEEKER, she had some really sexy and fantastic costumes there :) And Craig Horner was hot in it too
Warm bodies looks kind of silly, I'll probably give it a shot :)
ReplyDeleteJamie
we do love silly :)
DeleteI'm happy to hear Hotel Transylvania is getting a sequel! Very good news. The Peanut loved it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not to sure about Warm Bodies...I'll wait for you guys to see it and you can let me know =PPP
wish BRAVE would get a sequel too :)
DeleteYou'll wait forever, I mostly watch epic shows, movies not so much :( Don't have a cinema in my town :(
A zombie romance - sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteit sure does :)
DeleteSorry, but I prefer my zombies snacking on humans. Don't mess with the law of the land zombies by their very definition are mindless, brain dead. So yeah this looks more like Twilight version of zombies.
ReplyDeleteJulian Assange is very controversial. Should be an interesting film.
pfft... you just don't want a world in which you couldn't go around cutting down zombies like Michonne... admit it... just admit it :PP
DeleteI adore Assange, he's the hero of freedom loving people
Yes I do. And I'd start with young Nicholas up there as the creepy dead kid. One strike to split that skull in half like Rick on this last ep of WD. I mean seriously, rotting meat as a love interest, have they lost all sense?
Deleteyep, although it's a charming and lovely comedy and although their aim probably was to glorify love, one does come to think if they're actually promoting necrophilia in some way :(
DeleteI was kind of hoping McAvoy would play Ian Fleming in his biopic. I'm curious about Assange's film, that sure will create some controversy, but hey, for a movie, even bad publicity could be good for the box office :)
ReplyDeleteeverybody here in Europe adores Assange and we see him as the biggest hero of the modern world who dares to poke the evil beast right in the eye.
