It is not coming any time soon, as it is scheduled to arrive to the small screens sometime next year, but Prime Video wanted us to tell you that they have finished shooting their new series MALICE which actually pits Jack Whitehall against David Duchovny with Carice van Houten as his wife.

THE INTRIGUING STORY

of this psychological thriller series sees Jack Whitehall in the role of Adam Healey, a charming ‘manny’ who infiltrates the brash, wealthy Tanner family in order to destroy them. Set in London and Greece, the series is full of dark family secrets, manipulation and betrayal, asking the question: Why does Adam despise Jamie Tanner so much?

WHO IS IN THE CAST?

The X Files star David Duchovny stars in the series as head of the wealthy family Jamie Tanner, Carice van Houten as Nat Tanner, Jamie’s wife, and Harry Gilby, Teddie Allen and Phoenix Laroche will portray their three children. The cast of the new series also includes ChristineAdams  as Nat’s best friend Jules, Raza Jaffrey as Jules’ husband Damien and newcomers Rianna Kellman and Jade Khan as Jules and Damien’s daughters.

With the October 11th streaming date slowly approaching as we head towards the last month of summer, Apple TV + has published some new images from Cate Blanchett's new series DISCLAIMER which was directed, written and produced by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron and also stars Kevin Kline based on a book by Renee Knight. Gemma Jones, Lesley Manville, Indira Varma, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Louis Partridge, Leila George also star in the series that will premiere at Venice Film Festival. The series will then premiere in October with two episodes and will stream the rest of the seven episodes weekly.

THE STORY OF HAGEN EPIC TV SERIES

follows Burgundian weapons master Hagen von Tronje (Gijs Naber) who has his hands full ensuring that the kingdom does not collapse under the weight of many crises. His plan is for him to take the unpredictable Valkyrie Brunhild (Rosalinde Mynster) as his wife. When Kriemhild finally falls in love with Siegfried, Hagen has to make a decision. News from BritBox say that the British streamer is set to produce LYNLEY series, a revival of the old BBC show to be penned by Sherlock writer Steve Thompson and directed by Ed Bazalgette. Our dearest Leo Suter who is currently leading Vikings: Valhalla and Sofia Barclay (from Ted Lasso) will be leading the brand new small screen adaptation, playing DI Thomas Lynley and DS Barbara Havers, an aristocratic police detective and maverick sergeant from a working class background. Together, the mismatched duo become a formidable team, bonded by their desire to see justice done, while the series tackles issues around personality, gender and class. The series will have four 90 minute episodes.

 WHO ARE THE NEW FACES IN THE CAST?

Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman, Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo, and Calam Lynch have join the series in the second season which was shot over in United Kingdom. Joseph Mawle was replaced in the role of evil Orc leader Adar with Sam Hazeldine. The reasons are not known, but Mawle did not take part in promotional activities for the first season either. New faces joining the second season in undisclosed roles also include Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben Daniels, newcomer Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, and Nicholas Woodeson! The show set thousands of years before the events from the Lord of the Rings movies, will, according to rumours, also have our dearest Jack Lowden in the cast and he will share the role of Sauron with Charlie Vickers. Confirming its status of the most expensive television series ever, the second season was shot on over 120 different physical sets with over a hundred make up artists doing make up to over a thousand orcs that appear in this season. Arriving next month to Netflix, August 21st to be more precise, is streamer's epic new documentary series WYATT EARP AND THE COWBOY WARS about the legendary feud between Wyatt Earp and Ike Clanton which unfolds through vivid reenactments in this gritty docudrama about the gunfight that defined an era.

 

THIS SIX PART DOCU-DRAMA

directed by Patrick  Reams, is narrated by Ed Harris and has Tim Fellingham, Edward Franklin, Jack Gordon, Peter O’Meara, Christian Mackay and Christina Leonardi starring in the live action parts of the documentary series based on the life of Wyatt Earp, a lawman and gunfighter who waged a battle against Clanton and gang, who were infamously called 'The Cowboys'. Tensions arose between Earp, his brothers Virgil and Morgan, and a friend, Doc Holliday, while trying to disarm Clanton and his gang for alleged robbery and murder in 1881. This event was followed by a big gunfight at the OK Corral. Earp managed to escape attempts on his life after killing Billy Clanton, Tom McLaury, and Frank McLaury!

Our dearest Sam Claflin will lead as Laz, a well-respected forensic psychologist who has spent his whole life running from the pain of his past.
