As Variety reports, Michael Sheen and Eva Longoria will lead Ben Gregor's movie adaptation of James Patterson's novel 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS set in mid-December! For the fifth year in a row, Christmas is cancelled at the dysfunctional Sullivan family home. That is until a mysterious someone starts sending strange gifts to hopeless widower Henry (Sheen) and his two bickering children. First, a partridge in a pear tree, the next day two turtle doves are sent, followed by three calling birds on day three. Before they know it, the house is full of boisterous animals and house guests! The family’s lives are turned upside down as they try to figure out just who the mystery gift giver is, and to top it off, Mariana (Longoria) from Animal Protection Services is on their case. Even though this Christmas will be messy, it might turn out to be just the gift the family needs.

As you know, CW's historical saga on Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) REIGN, which ends its 3rd season in a few weeks, is getting the 4th run and now the first newcomer to the cast has been revealed: one of our fave Australian stars Will Kemp (VAN HELSING) will star in three episodes with a potential for a regular role.

He will play LORD DARNLEY, Mary's second husband. Breezily confident, charming and warm, he was born with a blood-claim of his own to the English throne and a wildly ambitious mother whose love hinges entirely on his ability to secure a crown. Mary fell in love with him while mourning the death of her first husband Francis (actor Toby Regbo is no longer in the show and so is Torrance Coombs who played king's brother). Their relationship quickly deteriorated as Darnley grew more and more arrogant. He was subsequently murdered, with suspicion falling on Mary! Beside him, there will be two other new male characters in the series: Bothwell, a warm hearted bad boy who is deeply in love with Mary,  and Lord Narcisse’s (Craig Parker) son Gabriel, a sexy and highborn rogue who is also a plain speaking realist and will fall for Princess Claude and attempt to marry her, despite her obvious affections for another.

Meanwhile, 'Deadline' reports that one of our favourite stories will get a new movie adaptation by Studio Canal! THE SECRET GARDEN will be a movie version of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved story about Mary Lennox, a troubled, sickly, orphaned 10-year-old girl sent to live with an uncle after her parents have died in a cholera outbreak in India. Initially sour and rude, Mary begins to explore the grounds of her uncle’s estate and befriends a robin. Mary hears of a locked away, hidden garden. Together with the robin, she finds the key and enters the garden only to discover it is more magical than she could have ever imagined.

A&E has bought ITV's upcoming FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES six episode epic TV series starring Sean Bean for USA airing. Bean plays a 19th century detective hunting down a killer who appears to be assembling humans from mutilated body parts in a copycat twist on the Frankenstein story.
'BATHORY' EPIC HORROR SERIES
CBS is also doing an epic horror series BATHORY with Joel Silver! The epic series follows Elisabeth BATHORY, the 16th century Hungarian Blood Countess. Considered the world’s most prolific serial killer, Báthory is believed to have murdered more than 600 girls bathing in their blood to preserve young looks.

'VERSAILLES' GETS 2ND SEASON!

News from Mipcom in Cannes say that Canal + has just ordered the second season of their King Louis XIV epic series VERSAILLES even before airing the first one in November with George Blagden in the lead role! It will cover time four years after the building of his palace in the first season.

Eva Longoria, who is already starring and producing HOT & BOTHERED comedy series this Fall at NBC, will now produce BONITA & MECHELLE a multi camera sitcom on two women, one Hispanic and one African American who find themselves living together while conquering the ups and downs of single life and parenting!

NEW MARLON WAYANS SITCOM
The same network has also nabbed new sitcom with Marlon Wayans!  Loosely inspired by Wayans’ life, the untitled comedy centres on an inappropriate but loving father committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife.

'THE REAL O'NEALS'

Meanwhile, coming real soon to ABC is their new single camera sitcom THE REAL O'NEALS starring Martha Plimton, Jay R. THE START OF NEW TRILOGY  
Coming out this July, TERMINATOR GENISYS is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor's mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won't ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.
