NEW EPIC HORROR TV SERIES

What better way to mark today's Hallow's Eve than with some good old English horror! Popular British ITV channel (which is currently airing JEKYLL AND HYDE series to be followed soon by BEOWULF epic saga) is ready to start airing new period set horror series THE FRANKEN- STEIN CHRON- ICLES on Wednesday November 11th in six episodes with the cast lead by Sean Bean, Anna Maxwell Martin, Richie Campbell, Samuel West, Ed Stoppard, Charlie Creed Miles, Steven Berkoff and Kate Dickie! Incorporating elements from the investigative and horror genres with an extraordinary hero at its centre, Inspector John Marlott, played by multi award winning leading actor Sean Bean, is taken on a terrifying journey in pursuit of a chilling and diabolical foe.

STEP INTO THE DARKNESS
With the slogan Step Into the Darkness, and set in Georgian London in 1827 THE FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES will be an epic reimagining of one of literature's most famous stories.To be aired at A&E over in USA too, it tells the story of Marlott, a Thames River detective, hunting down a killer who appears to be assembling humans from mutilated body parts in a copycat twist on the Frankenstein story. When a child’s corpse is discovered during an investigation, Marlott is horrified to discover that it’s in fact a grotesque assembly of human body parts. In classic outlier fashion, his probe takes him into the dangerous, picturesquely crime-ridden London demimonde — and soon sets him at odds with the medical and political establishments. Benjamin Ross, know for masterfully THE YOUNG POISONER'S HANDBOOK, is directing.

In today's short TV news, it has been announced that the second, 15 episode season of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD will largely be set on the ocean, since the characters are going to board the massive yacht, and there will be plenty of zombies even at the sea.

SANAA LATHAN LEADS NEW MINI SERIES

Fox has cast Sanaa Lathan as the lead star of Brian Grazer's event series INDICTMENT  which examines the dangerous aftermath of a police shooting when an African American cop kills a white teen in Tennessee!

EVA LONGORIA SELLS SITCOM TO ABC

Over at ABC Eva Longoria has sold yet another new sitcom from her production company. The untitled interracial family comedy will centre on an ambitious and meticulous Latino chef who runs a cafe with his unpredictable white father in law. She already sold BONITA AND MECHELLE sitcom to NBC where she will also star in HOT AND BOTHERED sitcom of her own.

SEAN BEAN'S 'FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES' TO AIR IN USA
A&E has bought ITV's upcoming FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES six episode epic TV series starring Sean Bean for USA airing. Bean plays a 19th century detective hunting down a killer who appears to be assembling humans from mutilated body parts in a copycat twist on the Frankenstein story.
'BATHORY' EPIC HORROR SERIES
CBS is also doing an epic horror series BATHORY with Joel Silver! The epic series follows Elisabeth BATHORY, the 16th century Hungarian Blood Countess. Considered the world’s most prolific serial killer, Báthory is believed to have murdered more than 600 girls bathing in their blood to preserve young looks.

'VERSAILLES' GETS 2ND SEASON!

News from Mipcom in Cannes say that Canal + has just ordered the second season of their King Louis XIV epic series VERSAILLES even before airing the first one in November with George Blagden in the lead role! It will cover time four years after the building of his palace in the first season.

Although it was first ordered for series and then cancelled at NBC years ago new fantasy series EMERALD CITY is again back in production with the lead actress announced! Adria Arjona will lead the ten episode epic series which draws upon events from L Frank Baum's popular 14 book WIZARD OF OZ novel series! In EMERALD CITY, in the blink of a tornado’s eye, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) and her K9 police dog are transported to another world, one far removed from our own, a mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you’ve never seen before, where wicked witches don’t stay dead for long and a young girl becomes a headstrong warrior who holds the fate of kingdoms in her hands.

  GAIMAN'S 'AMERICAN GODS'

ORDERED INTO SERIES AT STARZ  
Yet another show which has been announced a couple of times and then ditched is alive again over at Starz! Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS will be turned into series by HANNIBAL and PUSHING DAISIES Bryan Fuller. As 'Deadline' reports it follows a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of biblical and mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. The book centres on Shadow Moon, an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and travelling partner to Mr. Wednesday, a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities.

Still a very slow period in movie news business, people, so we're sticking to the small screens, starting with an interesting info coming over from the United Kingdom, where their ITV Encore will produce a television series on infamous monster Frankenstein. Titled THE FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES, this modern reworking of Mary Shelley's 19th century horror story will see Sean Bean play John Marlott, a detective who must battle a creature born of dark science in six one hour episodes! Meanwhile, a number of Frankenstein movies is coming to the big screens, including the one in which James McAvoy is Dr. Frankenstein with Daniel Radcliffe as his hunchback butler Igor!

'BOOKCLUB' TV COMEDY 
In sitcom news, ABC has bought BOOKCLUB comedy series from Eva Longoria and Universal! In the vein of 'Bridesmaids' and 'The Hangover', BOOKCLUB revolves around four female friends who escape the pressures and responsibilities of adult life by pretending to be in a book club.
JAMES DENTON IN 'THE GOOD WITCH'
Another series for my ladies, THE GOOD WITCH, which is in production over at Hallmark, has just cast James Denton! The ten episode show will see Catherine Bell playing the raven haired enchantress Cassie Nightingale. Denton will play Cassie Nightingale’s new nextdoor neighbour, a divorced doctor and single dad who stirs things up in Middleton when he discovers Cassie’s signature charm is more than just a magic touch.

Don't forget to check out the delightful trailer for one of TV's most charming comedy series BABY DADDY's special Halloween episode which airs this Wednesday at ABC Family!  In "Strip or Treat" - Ben (Jean Luc Bilodeau), Danny (Derek Theler) and Tucker (Tahj Mowry) are looking forward to attending the biggest Halloween celebration in the city, despite the fact that Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) thinks they should take baby Emma trick-or-treating instead. But when the guys are mistaken for the strippers, Ben makes a big mistake that results in them being carted off to jail. Will Riley be able to work her lawyer magic and bail her friends out of this mess, or will everyone get what they deserve?
