SPARTACUS epic show and went over to Hollywood to play Bruce Willis' son in GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, has joined the cast too. Based on the Veronica Roth novel the film will depict a futuristic America that is divided into five factions: selflessness (Abnegation), peacefulness (Amity), honesty (Candor), bravery (Dauntless), and intelligence (Erudite). Each citizen must choose which trait they want to devote the rest of their lives to, at the age of 16. Jai Courtney will play the leader of the Dauntless tribe Eric, who serves as one of the primary antagonists for Shailene Woodley's Beatrice "Tris" Prior, who struggles with the Dauntless initiation when she makes a powerful discovery about her hidden strength.
HEATHER LIND IN "TURN" HISTORICAL SHOW
Yet, another of the upcoming historical shows we are anticipating -
TURN has a new cast member. Young Heather Lind will join Jamie Bell in
the story set in the summer of 1778 which tells the story of New York
farmer Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), who bands together with a group of
childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies
who turn the tide in America’s fight for independence. Heather, whom you
might have seen in BOARDWALK EMPIRE before, will play Anna Strong, the
beautiful wife of the local tavern owner who is Abe’s first love, and
clearly there is still a tension between the two.
ROBERT BUCKLEY IN "HOLDING PATTERNS" SITCOM
One of HOLLYWOOD SPY's favourite faces to stare at - Robert Buckley
(who was brilliant in LIPSTICK JUNGLE and GOSSIP GIRL and most recently in 666 PARK AVE) has scored a role in a new sitcom. "Deadline"
reports that HOLDING PATTERNS will be an ensemble multi camera comedy
about a group of friends whose lives completely change after they
survive a plane crash. Robert Buckley will play one of them, Chad,
Griffin’s (Humphrey Ker) and Leah’s (Chyler Leight) arrogant,
misogynistic friend, now a successful chick-lit author who returns home
for the wedding.
KRISTIN DAVIS IS BAD TEACHER
Meanwhile always delightful and lovely Kristin Davis, whom we all remember as elegant and kind Charlotte from SEX AND THE CITY, is coming back to comedy shows. She just landed a role in the television adaptation of BAD TEACHER, Cameron Diaz movie from a few years ago. The sitcom centres on hot, confident, unapologetic former trophy wife Meredith Davis (Ari Graynor), who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime. Davis will play Ginny, a history teacher, choir director, Faculty President and Meredith’s nemesis.
never saw the bad teacher movie
ReplyDeleteit was a bit brutal of a film, but I liked Justin Timberlake in it
DeleteI'm reading Divergent right now and Jai looks very much like Eric as I picture him. And I concur; Robert Buckley has a face one could get used to having around ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't even describe how much I adore both Jai and Robert. So flawlessly perfect both of them :)
DeleteWell well well, I'm glad I clicked on tojai's post (I mean today's post). I'm courtney, I mean currently looking forward to seeing Divergent. Sheesh...I don't know what's come over me. Maybe it's all this hot March weather.
ReplyDeleteCourtney has become so handsome lately, I mean he always has been, but in recent months..... a stunner
DeleteLooks like Jai may be hittin' the gym just a wee bit.
ReplyDeletehe really did nomnomize his own self :)
DeleteGood news on Divergent ~ I too haven't seen Bad Teacher ~
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend Dezzy ~

DeleteHappy St Paddy's Day weekend Dezzy. I hope you have lots of green fun planned :)
ReplyDelete.......dhole
happy day to you as well, Donnzie! No fun for me, alas.
DeleteDivergent sounds like Hunger Games, yawn...Jai Courtney is HOT though. I seriously hope Shailene is NOT his love interest. She's too young and looks anemic. I frankly do not understand the attention she's getting as she is a terrible actress.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't seen anything special in her either, while Jai is so very special :) It's been a very poor period in movie news and I have nothing else to write about :(
DeleteNothing else to write about? My favorite superhero movie, Superman 1, is rebooted AGAIN on my birthday. I hope it doesn't get ruined or make my cake go sour ;)
ReplyDeleteoh, I've posted a couple of exclusive pics of Henrilicious Cavill and Amy Adams from SUPERMAN over at HOLLYWOOD SPY Facebook page :) I often post exclusives there too :)
