RUMOURS SAY DISNEY WANTS ALEXANDER SKARSGARD FOR THE LEAD ROLE IN THE LIVE ACTION ADAPTATION OF HERCULES!

Alexander Skarsgard might be the new Hercules
WANTED FOR DISNEY'S HERCULES?
As you have probably noticed, we don't really cover much of Disney's blasphemous live action adaptations of their animated classics here, as I find their casting choices mediocre at best or offensive at worst, and there seem to be a lot of new ones coming up: after the currently playing Aladdin, and then Lion King next week, they're preparing new Snow White, new live action Mulan (I hear we might be getting a teaser for that one soon), Cruella with Emma Stone and also Hunchback of Notre Damme, and I'm sure you've all been shocked with the latest casting for Little Mermaid adaptation. But here is one I might stand behind: according to latest juicy rumours swirling around the net, Disney wants Alexander Skarsgard for the lead role in their live action movie adaptation of HERCULES! What do you say on that? I sure wouldn't mind that choice for the famous Greek hero tasked with fulfilling impossible missions for Gods. I've also heard somewhere that Amber Heard might be a candidate for gorgeous Megara in the remake. We Got This Covered, who first brought this story,
Alexander played Tarzan and was also in the run to play another mythical hero Thor!
reports that Disney might be looking for a director with a fresh vision for the whole project. Stay tuned for more news on the project which is in very early stages of development.

  1. I've never seen a movie about Hercules, not am I going to. I know , of course, a bit from mythology; he was some kind of demi-god, killed his first wife and children, was poisoned by his second wife etc..
I don't know the relevance to our times. Perhaps, our desire as mortals to have some godly powers too.

    1. There was a very popular Hercules TV series in the beginning of the 2000s!

  2. Yes, please! This is a Disney casting choice I can get behind. Don’t even get me started on Little Mermaid. Apparently it’s easier to throw buzzwords like “racist” around instead of listening and trying to understand why those of us aren’t on board with the casting decision there. In the end, Disney set out to do what they wanted and created buzz for the movie and didn’t have to spend a dime doing it.

    1. I hate it most when they say it is a fictional character and thus it can be black, white, purple... no it cannot, you freaking idiots, it was made by Hans Christian Anderson not by Hollywood and it is a part of Danish mythos not African one. I'm posting Mulan trailer tonight, it is not very promising, boring as hell. Disney just cannot get it right for decades now...
