HARALD & SONJA TV SERIES
ON NORDIC ROYAL COUPLE
Beside the series on Dutch queen Maxima we are now also getting a four part series HARALD & SONJA about the king and queen of Norway via Viaplay streamer. The series focuses on their love story, how they fought for nine years to be together, keeping their relationship secret due to Sonja’s
status as a commoner, before finally receiving the permission to marry from King Olav in 1968. They had to wait nine years for the society to accept the undeniable love they had for each other. Sindre Strand Offerdal and Gina Bernhoft Gørvell will play the royals, with Anders Raasmo as king Olav and Anneke von der Lippe as Sonja’s mother Dagny Haraldsen. The series is set for 2025!
First look at the actors as Harald and Sonja |
Hope that is much closer to the truth and less offensive than Atlantic Crossing
ReplyDeleteWhat is interesting to me is that they are shooting a series about the least known royal couple of Europe, I follow the royals and even I struggle to remember how Harald and Sonja look like, I only remember their son and his divorcee wify without style and grace. They are rarely invited anywhere, they and the royals of Luxembourg are the least present in the media methinks.
DeleteHow horrid to fall in love with a commoner *snort* I'm glad times are a changing.
ReplyDeleteWell we've seen what happens when you marry a commoner in UK's example, in Monaco etc.... These aristocrats are at least groomed for the role from their birth.
DeleteI think Megan was a perfect match for Harry. He's always been a wild child wild card. He was not cut out for a classy British lass. Kate did wonders for boosting up the monarchy there. I mean, she's gorgeous and classy and has impeccable fashion sense. 2 boys brought up in the same environment went completely opposite directions with their choice of wives. Kate may not have been groomed for royalty, but she polished up nicely for the role.
DeleteHarold had a freedom to choose, while Willikins had to get the approval of the firm, methinks. Kate was defo groomed after it was clear she will be accepted into the family, even her style was carefully developed over the years because she will be the future queen. She is now, methinks, comfortable in her role as she accepted her destiny and is trying to enjoy it, but she is probably not overly happy for not having enough time for the kids especially now as the got prince of Wales titles.
DeleteIdk, I feel like she is loving every minute of her royal life. Mama Middleton didn't groom her for royalty, but she did make sure her girls were polished for any wealthy suitor who would come along. Little did she know Kate would snag a whale LOL. She probably pissed herself with giddiness when she learned of their relationship.
DeleteShe did and she is using her royal momma status in her party planning business as far as I've heard.
DeleteThe late Princess Diana was an aristocrat born and bred and on paper - apart from the discrepancy in their ages - she should have been well suited to her role as future queen. The fact that there was no love on Charles's side didn't help. So sometimes even when the party marrying into the royal family has been aristocratic, if not of the blood royal, things don't end up happily. I think if I'd been Meghan Markle and had to endure the things the silly part of the British press said (and still say) about her that I would have got the heck out of Dodge too...and if people really think she's an attention seeker then wouldn't the sensible thing be to ignore her rather than write about her all the time.
ReplyDeleteMM deserves every nasty article she gets because she brought it all upon herself with her manipulative behaviour, utter lack of respect and diva behaviour, she is vile, stupid and narcissistic and I am glad she is out of the country with her drug using murderer husband who brags about killing more than twenty people in his life. Two human garbages.
