PARADISE TRAILER
FOR NEW NETFLIX SF FILM
Ready for streaming on Netflix from July 27th is their new German original PARADISE set in the not too distant future where the company AEON has become a multi-billion dollar big pharma conglomerate.
The start-up managed it with a revolutionary technology that makes it possible to transfer lifespan from one person to another. This has serious consequences for parts of society. Elena is confronted with insurance claims that she and her husband Max cannot pay. So she feels compelled to sell 40 years of her life to AEON. Max works for the company himself and from then on tries everything to get back the lost years of his wife. He finds out that the CEO of AEON is targeting Elena's lifetime. So he hatches a plan to kidnap her. For Max and Elena, a hunt begins that not only takes them across national borders, but also to the edge of their own moral concepts. Kostja Ullman plays Max next to Marlene Tanzcik as Elena.
Paradise will stream from July on Netflix |
This seems too Hollywood to be German LOL...p.s Everything is expensive here too...we were in Kaufland today...1kg carrot is 2,29, and 1kg purple potato 3,99...almost 9 euro for 1kg gooseberry which my husband really enjoys..so I had to buy them..
ReplyDeleteSomething expensive and German for you to watch on Netflix :)
DeleteThose are insane prices, I paid 3,5 euro for just three red peppers today, so one is basically more than one euro! And our salaries here and pensions are from 300 to 700 euro a month, you at least have better wages.
Imagine if that kind of technology were available where you could sell off life years. The human rights violations would skyrocket even more so than they do now. I mean, I sometimes think they conveniently let patients die that are poor but have an organ donor sticker on their I.D. How many lives they could save by letting one person they don't feel is necessary to a functioning society die so they can sell off their organs and save a few more. How many would be forced to sell off their life years just to survive the here and now? That makes me shudder to even think about.
ReplyDeleteThey defo do that, and they will probably try less to save you and revive you if you are an organ donor.
