THE CHOSEN TV SERIES
ARRIVES TO CW THIS SUMMER
If you are really desperate for some historical drama this summer, which does not have a lot of them, CW has announced that from Sunday, July 16, they will start airing all three seasons of THE CHOSEN event
series and will continue its run through the fall, with the Season 3 finale airing on Christmas Eve. The series which sees Jonathan Roumie as Jesus Christ, has been available on Peacock and Netflix already, but this will be its first linear TV airing on the freshly redesigned CW which will now aim more for family programmes.
The Chosen starts next week on CW |
THE STORY
A charismatic fisherman struggling with debt. A troubled woman
wrestling with demons. A gifted accountant ostracised from his family
and people. In the first season of THE CHOSEN see how Jesus reaches each
of these and more as he works his first miracles and embarks on his
ministry to change the world. See him through the eyes of those who knew
him. Set against the backdrop of Jewish oppression in first-century
Israel, the seven-season event series offers an authentic and intimate
look at Jesus’ revolutionary life and teachings. 110 million viewers in
175 countries around the world have seen this series so far according to
the producers.
I love historical series :D
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it.
DeleteI would probably fall asleep watching this...
ReplyDeleteLikewise....
DeleteI don’t think I’ve liked anything from the CW in quite some time. This one is a pass for me too, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThey have been sold and are now totally changing their programme, no more Marvel and DC shows, it will all be cheap family fun now, mostly from Canada LOOOL I have not watched anything from them since Reign, I tried The Flash, but every episode was generic and the same.
