THE ILIAD AND THE ODYSSEY
TO BECOME A SF TV SERIES
|
Our favourite Pathe is producing
|
Well, that would be a first: as Variety reports,
Antonin Baudry, Pathe and
Ness Films from Paris, are set to adapt Homer’s epic war tales of “The Iliad and The Odyssey” into a science fiction series titled
ULYSSE!
Antonin Baudry, who is writing the adaptation, had the idea of transposing these mythological tales in space and in the future!
The series will follow the fantasy-filled adventures of Ulysse through
the 10-year Trojan Wars and beyond. ULYSSE will also involve
mythological characters from “The Iliad and the Odyssey,” such as
Achilles, Helen, Hector and Penelope. Baudry previously did The Wolf's
Call for Netflix. This will be one of the very rare science fiction
shows done in France.
CRAIG PARKER TO LEAD
A SOCIAL CONTRACT MOVIE
|
Craig Parker will lead with Sean Astin
|
If you miss our gorgeous hunkster
Craig Parker from Spartacus and Reign, he is now leading
A SOCIAL CONTRACT movie with
Sean Astin, his colleague from Lord of the Rings movies. In the film exploring the dynamics and social constructs of power, relationships and government, a political dinner turns deadly when a group of power-starved politicians fight for a seat of survival on a helicopter at the onset of a nuclear war. Astin will play a senator in the political thriller.
I am very sure that I would enjoy A SOCIAL CONTRACT! p.s Just back from the farmer market and there are still lots of strawberries there :-) Smaller, more expensive, but still some there..bought some mandarins and grapes though.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, we have strozzberries only seasonally. Berries just during summer. We still have some peaches and melons, but that will be gone in a week or two as well, and then we will just have grapes and apples all winter and autumn long. We don't have mandarins during summer either, but they should arrive soon, methinks. Oranges are extremely expensive currently, almost 3euro per kilo, bananas 2euro.
DeleteA Social Contract sounds good. Though those greedy politicians should be the last ones on the helicopter. Maybe if they all get on and leave the people behind to fend for themselves, poetic justice would be the helicopter crashes and the nuclear crisis is adverted.
ReplyDeleteHillary would have walked over dead people to get into the chopper.
DeleteHillary would have thrown everyone that was on the chopper off to have it all to herself.
DeleteBabies and grannies included.
DeleteYes "A social contract" looks great. Craig Parker is a successful actor, we also know him from the lord of the rings.
ReplyDeleteYes, he was Galadriel's husband in it if I remember correctly, he brought the elven armies to the battle at Minas Tirit in that legendary scene when thousands of them appear in front of the gates.
DeleteDo you think he rewear that costumes now? He is over 50 but still looks great.
DeleteHe always looks amazing and gorgeous.
DeleteI'm off to Google Craig Parker. How have I never heard of him? Or if I have, how hasn't he stuck in my mind?
ReplyDeleteHe acted in all of the shows I watched, from Legend of the Seeker to Spartacus and Reign and I was always in love with him. He also has naughty photos, extremely naughty, full naughty, so that should certainly stick in your mind LOL
