THE WITCHES REMAKE IS HERE FOR THE HALLOWEEN WITH ANNE HATHAWAY AND ROBERT ZEMECKIS BEHIND THE HELM!

 THE WITCHES TRAILER
FOR THE NEW MOVIE REMAKE
It is one of those remakes that nobody wanted, because the original film was too precious, but the studio still did not care what we think. THE WITCHES trailer and poster are here this time with Anne Hathaway
Witches will stream on HBO Max October 22nd
instead of Anjelica Huston. The lead kid character has been black washed as you will notice. The Robert Zemeckis directed remake will skip cinemas and go straight to HBO Max October 22nd based on Roald Dahl's famous book.
THE WITCHES tells the tale of a young orphaned boy who, in late 1967, heads to live with his loving Grandma (Octavia Spencer) in rural Alabama. The two encounter some deceptively glamorous but truly evil witches. Our young hero is then sent away to a seaside resort. However, they arrive at exactly the same time that the world's Grand High Witch (Anne Hathaway) has gathered her fellow cronies from around the globe,
The book was published in 1983, with the original film in 1990
undercover, to carry out her nefarious plan to turn all children into mice. Stanley Tucci plays the hotel manager who unwittingly hosts the witches’ convention.

  1. No, we didn't ask for it, but I am excited for it nevertheless. Yes, the original was super precious, but I think this one has such a good cast. Now, tell me Hocus Pocus is getting a remake with difference characters and I'll cut a bitch.

    1. Good cast? What? Chris Rock narrating, blackwashed lead and Anne Hathaway trying to be interesting and evil? Tucci and Octavia are probably the only good ones in there, sadly. I'm absolutely sure Hocus Pocus will go for diversity too, probably Whoopie in the lead role LOL

  2. The mice on that cover are too flippin' cute. I don't know, I kinda like mice more than kids so I might be okay with that plan. LOL

  3. You don’t like Hathaway for her role? I’m a fan of Anne Hathaway and think she’d be great. Don’t get mad, but I never saw the original but I’ve read the book a million times when I was younger!! Not sure I’d ever watch the movie because I’d hate for it to ruin my perception of one my favorite youth books!

    1. The original movie was a massive cult classic, very atmospheric and very scary, Anjelica Huston is most people's idea of a witch thanks to that role. Anne just makes it cutsie, and that is not the point of the story. Plus she has never been a multidimensional actress.

    2. The book creeped me out during my middle school days.. I wouldn’t think it cutsie either. In other news, Anne Hathaway has supposedly moved a few towns east of me on Long Island. There were recent reports of people running into her at Home Depot. Maybe I need to start frequenting stores in her town to catch a glimpse of her. :)

  4. Yes, Octavua and Tucci are both fabulous actors. I actually think Hathaway is a great choice too. She’s just got that bitch, witchy vibe down, I think she’s going to kill it in her role. At least I hope she does.

  5. I believe she just had a baby, so she probably still does have a hot hubby hanging around.
