She begun shooting her part in the wildly epic historical series GLOW AND DARKNESS which will follow the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and allthe legendary historical persons he met during the 12th century (read more here). In the series, Joan Collins (87) will play queen Adelaide of Maurienne, the second wife of King Louis VI with whom she had nine children. She was the most politically active of all France's medieval queens, with her name appearing on 45 royal charters from the reign of Louis VI! The cast also includes Denise Richards and Jane Seymour as Queen Eleanor
Dominic Andersen plays Francis de Assisi in the series
of Aquitaine with her son Richard the Lionheart also featuring in the series. The saga, which is planned in three seasons, has six more months left of shooting thanks to corona.

Speaking of glitzy costumes, check out the trailer for the sequel THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES II which will arrive to Netflix November 25th directed by Chris Columbus. It's been two years since siblings Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis) saved Christmas, and a lot has changed. Kate, now a cynical teenager, is reluctantly spending Christmas in Cancun with her mom's new boyfriend (Tyrese Gibson) and his son Jack (Jahzir Bruno). Unwilling to accept this new version of her family, Kate decides to run away. But when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel threatens to destroy the North Pole and end Christmas for good, Kate and Jack are unexpectedly pulled into a new adventure with Santa Claus (Kurt Russell).

  1. I never did watch part 1 of The Christmas Chronicles. I really need to do so because I heard it was a super cute movie. I'm sure part 2 will be charming as well.

    1. It was a nice movie, a bit of the old school festive adventure, but it had a bit too much jail and crime scenes and such things inappropriate for kids. I found about 30% of the movie fun and the rest were boring, inappropriate jail scenes, not something I need from a family Christmas movie. The kids were cute, though.

    2. That's too bad. I heard nothing but great things about this one. I'll still watch it as my kids are older so I don't need to sensor their viewing habits, but I'll for sure not watch this with the nieces and nephews when they come to visit.

  3. I’m looking forward to both of these, especially to see Jayne Seymour again! Haven’t seen her in anything since Dr. Quinn. My mom would watch that show on repeat my whole childhood just to drool at the wolf man!
