NEW SITCOM AT CBS!
I shall cheer you up this boring Monday with a new sitcom that starts next week, September 26th, Thursday on CBS! CAROL'S SECOND ACT will star Patricia Heaton, Kyle MacLachlan, Baby Daddy's beloved star Jean  Luc Bilodeau, Lucas Neff and Sabrina Jalees! Patricia Heaton leads the comedy series as a woman who embarks on a unique second act after raising her children, getting divorced and retiring from teaching: pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor.
Patricia Heaton returns to CBS with new role

Following Your Dreams Is The Best Medicine
On Carol Kenney’s first day at work, she’s prepped with an abundance of life experience, people skills, talent and enthusiasm, advantages the chief resident and other newly minted interns don’t have – or immediately appreciate. Carol’s first-year partners on rounds are Lexie (Sabrina Jalees), who’s very nervous due to the pressure on her to succeed as the first in her family to go to college, and Daniel (Jean Luc Bilodeau), a 2018 Harvard Medical School grad who’s already

  1. Nowadays, people feel miserable in any profession, certainly teaching and medical jobs, where there is no discipline, no decent working conditions, no substantial wages.

The comedy here might lie in the fact that the main character is retired from her first career and enters another one.

I see retirement as the last chance one has for a dialogue with one's Self (mind and body). People looking for new careers are running away from their Self. Once again.

    1. Yes, the most responsible jobs have become the least respected ones with no protection and pay.

  3. I think this is the one I'm most excited for this year. Not only because we miss Jean Luc, but the whole show looks fun and bubbly. Something we definitely need more of in tv programming.

    1. Me too, I do miss Jean Luc so much and I'm looking forward to some Lucas Neff, the only thing that could ruin it for me is Ashley Tisdale as her daughter, she is the most talentless brat I've ever seen on the telly after Miley and Zendaya. She was unbearable in Young and Hungry, they should have cast that actress that played Sofia in Y&H as her daughter.

  4. I'm so excited for this one! Patricia Heaton is always on my TV screen because I love to watch Raymond (it reminds me of my crazy family). After reading this description, I feel like this role really suits her.
